Last info I saw on this was two weeks ago. Jack said he couldn't give a date, but frames would be going into production soon. They're trying to catch up on back orders for other markers.

I've heard about a March release from a few people outside of PE. I hope it's sooner, but I will wait patiently.

So since this is still not released i expect the following.
They are going to announce the CS3 in february and that will have a slight different milling so the mech frame will be available for that CS not the CS2.
It was merely a beta test on the CS2.
Little birdies told me about a leaked new bolt design for the CS3.

I believe the first production CS2 mech frames were released to teams and a few stores in Europe just before Christmas ... I suspect it will not be long now until we see them available here in the states.
I expect a new marker maybe Cup next year? Just a guess. With as much CAD time as Jack and others have had, I expect we’ll see a few new offerings in the next 12 to 18 months.

At least one European team has received mech frames. I'm hopeful we will see them soon in the US.

The Turks are very proud and honoured to have been sent some of the first CS2 mech frames off the production line. Unfortunately we've not been able to put them through their paces yet but from the limited testing we've done these frames are phenomenal. We can't wait to use them out in the field!

What’s up with that Bump below the trigger guard?
I know it’s there so you can use the same grips and to try and line it up but it looks out of place and uncomfortable...

It looks weird, and it looks uncomfortable, but it isn’t in any way. I thought I would not like the “bump”, but you do not notice it beyond the moment you first pick it up.

Agreed.
I’m looking forward to learning more about availability here.

It's there so they can adapt the existing grip to the shorter trigger guard....
It doubles as a very comfortable finger groove.
Duh.

It is actually a little more pronounced than on the Gmek and M170r. Having said that, it is not something I have noticed at all while playing.

Already said that, duh. Reading comprehension isn’t the strongest.
The finger groove isn’t the same as the 170. That one is more of a groove than just a “flat bump” like this. The 170’s looks like it belongs, unlike this one...

That's because this isn't a 170.
The different grip angle and grips means that a different geometry is needed to create a similar effect. If it wasn't there you would be complaining about the weird void between the top of the grips and to bottom of the trigger guard when it's all put together. I actually think it might be comfier if it was even flatter on the front of the groove. I might cut and file mine down a bit once it arrives.
