MechDev?

Is MacDev coming out with an EMEK competitor? What is this teasing?

Maybe an infinity drive mechanical Clone or Prime? Just guessing.

Is it still going to use the Infinity Drive (Drone drive) (they are basically the same...) or some new Bolt System?

If its priced in the Emek $$$ range then it could be a game changer for that market

It won't be set in that segment. It's a new mid-end (likely upper mid) with electropneumatic and mechanical options.

The Infinity drive is not the same as the drone drive.

The new gun will probably be priced in the upper end of the mech range, similar to the CVO.

They are similar. Both unbalanced blowforwards with the solenoid acting as an air sear. The Infinity is a more refined design with higher shift force, supply shutoff and a couple other items. But conceptually they're similar.

Looks like a single trigger frame. On/off asa knob. My guess is a mech clone or mech clone frame. The way the laws are going in Aussie land it would make sense for them to get into the mechanical market. Mech guns have taken off as well so why not?

From the teasers, we know it will bat both ways - mech and electro actuation via two separate frames. I wouldn't be surprised if they make the XTS lever ASA an upgrade - easy money. Yes, I think they'd like a piece of the mech pie, no surprise.

I'm curious to see they route they go in regards to bolt assembly function.

Not a mech player myself but i definitely agree that they should get into that market. I too am most excited to see the route they go with the engine! Been close to pulling the trigger on an XTS but waiting to see what this thing is since the release should be soon.

I like the look of the XDR mechanical that they have coming out, but is there any talk of an XTS Prime Mech frame coming available eventually? I'd rather save money and put a frame on that.

Not a chance. Think about what that would do to XDR sales...

When the XTS has finished it’s run maybe the next Prime will have the mech frame option. That would give the XDR enough time to establish itself.

When I first read this I thought you meant LEVER action mechanical. Of course you didn't but then I thought.........that would also be pretty sick.

Went ahead and pre-ordered my first MacDev marker, the XDR (mech), really looking forward to seeing what they were able to put together and how it compares to some of the other mech spools out there.

Being more expensive than 2 other great mechs, the CVO and M170R, I'm hoping the XDR doesn't disappoint.

It'll at minimum be a new mech flavor. In support of further mech competition I've ordered one as well. What I am expecting is a slightly more efficient CVO with a much simpler/cleaner mech to electro conversion, bigger grips, and improved paint handling. If this turns out to be true, it'll be a good one!
