Operating pressure for 2012 Fenix

What are the best tank pressures to run the 2012 Fenix? Low, mid, or high?

I’m pretty sure that all Spyders work best with regular High Output Tanks.

Tank output of around 800 psi.

I’m not sure about the operating pressure of the 2012 Fenix sorry...

anything but a HP tank is a waste of money in most situations, but especially in blowbacks like spyder is.

fenix operates about 450psi if you dial it it. The only tank i wouldn't recommend is a SLP if you MUST get adjustable

Worse case is you can finger 20bps any more which under ideal conditions probably wasnt' gunna happen. In theory, you could out shoot the recharge rate in a perfect storm kinda of condition, but i wouldn't worry about it too much.

according to the manual, the 2012 Fenix has a factory set HPR of 300psi.

tank pressure has to be higher than the operating pressure. i forget how much though. 1.5X more...? (can someone confirm this).

my recommendation is a high pressure tank. 800psi.

You usually want about double the operating pressure for the Tank Output pressure.

So 300 psi for the Fenix x 2 = Tank Output of at least 600 psi.

Realistically they might work fine with a mid pressure tank but the possibility does exist for shootdown at higher ROFs.

A standard ninja reg with one shim out is about 600 psi

its a good marker man, but even my electra back before these came out shot right around that 450psi @ 280fps. Without a proper spring kit available ive always been skeptical of the tech t results of low 300psi range. my guess is they goosed the numbers by not tuning uniformly or letting the reg settle out. either way you've built and messed with enough spyders to know that 300psi is some holy grail pressure with most setups.
