i mean if you got one laying around,it'll work.
From experience, the shaved valve stem in ALL aftermarket valves is where 90% of the flow comes from. So the fun looking valve bodies really don't add much flow because the choke point is where the air passes through to the bolt in the body. Not to mention the valve seating opening on all the cheaper valves are about the same size as a stock body too.
So the EKO pin itself, its actually was used with stock valve bodies in the 08 electra. Instead of flat ground passes for air to recock the hammer, they just make it a hair smaller.

if you got a tornado valve, and can get it to work. Thats a high flow valve. I wouldn't hesitate to use it. My cupseal quit sealing, Idk but i'm not sure aka has replacements. The big point in the valve is the opening is much larger than a stock valve. The only down side to the AKA, its you need all the suporting mods to make it worth it imo.

Honestly, neither matter, nor add much to performance. You can get lower pressure operation from the stock spyder regs, but don't expect it to rip paint. it just wont keep up. The pass through on the grip doesn't add much, i wouldn't worry about. The gimmick of the amg was the grip is moved forward, and therefore needs less pressure to recock the hammer compared to a classic size spyder.
You don't have a lot of options for regulators for the amg if you want more out of it. You need like a 250-500psi range to guarantee it works.
