We designed it to take full trigger travel w/o causing problems.
For sure try it without any springs! It will self-spring the trigger fully out (when gassed up) with about 2.5oz of force. When not gassed up, there with be zero trigger return force.

Are you not worried about the potential for RT tuning if a spring is removed?

I installed mine this evening, first impressions are VERY positive.

The part itself looks/feels good. I like that all the edges have been deburred and it all drops in well. There was a mega glob of grease inside which I assume wasn't necessary so I fished out most of it before initial gas up.

Upon gas up I noticed a very faint leak coming from the grip frame which got fainter and fainter as I popped off some shots. I ended up swapping 3-way gaskets and the leak completely went away. Not sure if the problem was I hadn't screwed the frame together tight enough on first reassembly or it really needed a gasket change.

The shot itself is really, really, really satisfying. This smoothed out the pull on my 1st gen Emach'd marker a ton. I'm looking forward to tuning the Emek to utilize this magic box in the future.

To me, totally worth the money. Reminds me a little of the first time I put a Belsales roller sear into a cocker. The cost of the sear seemed high at the time, but you couldn't argue with the results.

There's not the kind of feedback coming from the trigger you would expect out of an X-valved Mag. I don't run with a spring in my Emek. I don't see how anyone could RT this thing.

Valid question, but here is why that's not a concern here-
When you pulled the trigger on an Automag that had RT, the air pressure coming into the top of the valve pin (to return the trigger/sear) spiked to full tank pressure, creating a massive increase on return force.

The hAir 45 is not doing that.. we are using the gun's set ~135 psi and it is pushing on the same surface area of the valve pin pre-and post-shot.. so you feel the same return force (~2.5oz) at both pre and post shot. Current tournament rules state mech triggers must be like this to be legal in tournament play, which is why the hAir 45 is tournament legal!

If my fingers weren't so fat I could walk the trigger after the hAir installation.

I can get on it a little bit, but had to remove the M170R inline filter because it seemed to be air starved when you get on it.

I've posted vids in various Facebook groups of me walking the trigger on both my M170R & Emek with Emach.

Pulling out & lubing the tiny pin took care of any trigger travel leaks I've seen with the various hAirs I've installed.
