A1 bolt stick

So after finally rebuilding my rescue A1 and stopping all of the leaks, i have a one shot bolt stick issue.
Settings were reset to factory, i found threads talking about the possibility of bent breach pins.
Looking down the breach the door appears to sit a smidge above the rest of the barrel/ball breach area. So after removing the pins and discovering that they look perfectly straight, i look again to find that the bolt door still appears to be out of whack and sitting higher than the rest of the body.
Is this normal? Its almost like the rubber angel sticker under the door is holding it up just barely too high.
Before I re-assemble it and play with the board settings what's my next step?

could the o-rings in the ram engine be leaking?
This wouldnt be obvious when the marker is pressurized at rest since they are only "used" for re-cocking.

That's actually an extremely common cause of bolt stick on the A1 series. The adhesive they used from the factory tends to gum up and swell slightly with age, which can cause the breech seal to protrude just enough to cause bolt stick. Easy way to tell: remove the breech seal and see if the problem continues. If it doesn't, just clean out all of the old adhesive pad residue from both the body of the gun and the bottom of the gasket, then reaffix the seal with E6000 craft adhesive or super glue. When you reaffix the seal, make sure to wipe down the cavity in the body with rubbing alcohol and allow it to air dry to ensure the adhesive sticks well.

Thanks strange I'll take a look at that first. Beyond looking fancy does that pad under the bolt door do anything?

So it's actually an air seal. Got it, interesting design. I owned one G7 back when they first came out for about a month and have never owned any other angels.
Now Ive got two A1s and a 04 speed on the way.

Yup, had this issue on an A1 I restored. It was an easy fix. Just be sure not to rip the gasket when you remove it.
