my question for you is: What do you think of the Race to 7 format in PSP? do you prefer the traditional Xball format of two 10 minute halves?

Simple answer Yes I prefer Halfs to Race to format. If you want to have more exciting games give us half.

Why do you think the race to format has taken place of the old school xball format in the psp? I agree that it's more exciting and I'm sure most would agree as well, yet race to is the format choice. I also want to know how you feel about the new style penalty box, and how you think it affects the strategies used in penalty points?
