I wonder if they are going to offer all or some of these as an upgrade kit to current Syx owners.

That was one of my first questions as well. GI is making kits to upgrade existing guns for stores and at events.

so nothing really new just minor tweaks with design issues that they're fixing and creating a more stable and reliable platform, i wonder why empire went this route without adding any upgraded performance, its gonna be a hard sale to say "hey you get more creature comforts for 100$ more then the previous version" when you already have a gun in a price category in this range, that cash price is just a made up number btw. i wonder if empire will make or allow previous guns these upgrades, i think that would benefit previous generations and prevent from having to buy a new gun.

ASA aside, two of the items are cake - install 013 70 seals (highly standard, I have about 100 of them) onto bolt guide and take a strip of 3M foam and apply to foregrip door. I've done this with a lot of markers to prevent battery rattles, mostly older markers.

I don't believe there is any price difference.

Edit. Confirmed. There's no price difference.

Was really hoping to see the 1.5 take the foregrip in a different direction. That is the biggest weakness of that gun. I never, ever will sacrifice aesthetic for comfort.

i was more meaning on the bases of the BASE syx vs the 1.5 version. not saying the 1.5 version will cost more then the base version MSRP 699 or what ever it is but at this point and time but now that the 1.5 is out and has better features then base syx. the base syx should be valued less if that makes sense and thats where the difficulty of selling a "cosmetic upgrade will be tough. i mean other paintball company's have done this before but from reading other comments sounds like those upgrades are purchasable. im just surprised they didnt present to us the upgrades for issues first and then tell us newer guns will offer them but hey what do i know, i dont own a business and i just sit at home dealing with a medical issue.

Happen to know if there will be a dust red version that'll match the Boss edition?

Urethane o-rings are better in almost every way. They are more durable, better tolerances and give less mechanical grip to the bolt as it moves.

More paintball companies should use urethane o-rings in these sorts of locations but hey, they cost more.

Just adjusted mine from factory 8.0 ms to 5.0 ms... Recoil feels less and consistency over the chronograph was good.

After using the marker for the first time last weekend, I really didn't notice the foregrip while playing (felt great).

Improved wear resistance and resilience. Buna does, however, have better compression set resistance.

I'm curious if they adjusted the gland dimensions of the new guides or not.

Thanks guys, TIL. Since Ive only really run into them while cleaning up older markers, I see urethane and I think crumbly old garbage.

Foregrip and eye cover screw?

These updates are fine, but while how they didn't fix the form of the foregrip or get rid of the eye cover screw. Those two things completely ruin the aesthetic of the gun - bad.

Funny how in one thread you have a person saying that the aesthetic ruins the comfort, and another person saying the aesthetic of the fore grip and........a screw is the problem.

Well, I know what orings I am getting for my Syx. That, a piece of foam tape, and a dwell adjustment gets me to a Syx 1.45(ish)
