Exclamation John's guns: Inception, Twister, Ripper, Eclipse, Evolutions, Shocktech - Updates!

Ca$h Money - A classic finally built back up and working. One of the very few Todd Martinez signature series Cash Money Aftershock Autocockers. This was Todd's only personal signature series gun.

Kenny Klamper's 2001 World Cup Shocktech Autococker - The original Silver Surfer. I met Kenny when he was aa 15-year-old kid who didn't really have a team and who played paintball like no one I'd ever met. He moved backwards on the field as often as forward and was wildly unpredictable. We played an event together and got booted by the field owner because he thought we were going to win against his local team (made up of future Strange players). When I couldn't play Skyball with Jacksonville Warriors, I asked Kenny to take my spot and they won.

Ryan William's last personal SFL Autococker. So more than 15 years ago I was talking to Ryan Williams at Badlandz on the zipper field about how paintball guns and the game was evolving. He was still playing at the highest level on Aftershock with his Autococker though. Specifically, he was still using this very SFL. He told me it was one of the best guns he'd ever owned and that it had yet to EVER break a ball. That blew my mind. He said that there was no other gun (not type of gun, but any actual gun) that even was tempting at the time.

I told him that when he was ready to sell it to let me know. Then he showed me his name was engraved in it. I told him I was still interested. We both forgot all about the conversation for years and the gun was sold without me ever knowing. This last week, the current owner offered it to me out of the blue and I jumped on it.

This is the workhorse. I use this gun almost every time I play airball. Planet Eclipse CS2 custom anodized by Tyler Fare of Aesthetic Anodizing.

Mechanical guns and specifically Autocockers are some of the most fun guns on the planet to shoot. I was mainly a 'Mag guy back in the day, but I often owned 'Cockers too. My first Evolution was back in 1995 I think and Inception guns are easily my favorite Autocockers.

Bea Youngs all black vert feed DJ Bee Evolution
I don't even think Bea owns one of these anymore.

Inception Predator Autococker #11 - This gun instantly became my go to paintball marker for any kind of scenario, woodsball, rec-ball or fun paintball event. It is everything Inception promised and so much more.

I believe this is the only factory Ripper Minicocker ever made. I was asking Simon online if he was going to make more Minicockers. When my Inception Ripper arrived, I found out to my genuine surprise that it was cut down to Minicocker length! I was stunned, but it was so cool I couldn't swap it for a full size.

Twister Autococker from Boston Paintball Supply

Team Rage right feed Evolution. Half the team got right feeds in camo and half got black vert feeds in 1999 after they had issues with their Shockers. They originally got Shockers but had too many issues and traded up for Evolutions.

Right feed Evolution - I owned two of these at different times while in college, but I always sold them to pay for the next tournament or to, you know, eat. So when I started collecting mechanical guns again a decade ago, this was one of my first scores. I bought it off Ebay and it turned out I purchased it from an old team mate.

The last Mark 2 Autococker made - left feed - This was the final Mark 2 Autococker assembled and tuned by the legendary Mark Davis. Mark is also largely responsible for me playing professionally since he let me guest with his team and introduced me to Farside.

Eclipse Banzai Splashed Autococker - This is the final Eclipse Autococker. It was actually anodized and assembled long after even the electronic ones were all sold. It was kept at Eclipse for years as various employees claimed it but then never followed through building it. This is its original anodizing.

Originally a pump gun - http://i336.photobucket.com/albums/n...almostdone.jpg
Build thread is here.

Millennium Freeflow Autococker - No special story behind this one, just in great shape and made by one of the most legendary Autococker shops in the world. I have a Lockout jersey to go with it too.

RT #00001 - the first production RT ever made. I used to use this gun back in the late 90's and recently restored it to its original condition.

Black reverse Minimag with Splash kit

Black Phoenix X Valve Automag

I broke down and bought one of the Nummech frames. The CCM fittings were what finally put me over the edge. I didn't love the idea of two elbows, but those looked clean enough, I had to try.

Palmer's Typhoon - Glenn Palmer was the first person I met in the paintball industry who went out of his way to be cool to me. I met him at his booth at the Splat 1 Indoor and he had a great time talking trash about the teams, players and vendors. Years later I had the opportunity to visit his shop in NorCal and got to shoot the prototype Blazer years before they were sold.

Left feed alternate milling Evolution Autococker made for the Captain of the Predators -

Possibly the coolest paintball marker in my collection.

This marker pre-dates the Predator Series of markers made later for the team. This one is cool not just because it was owned by the Captain, Marcus Davis, (check out how they spelled his name btw) but also because it isn't a typical Evolution or Predator. It still has the P-block (which the team guns did not) but the milling itself is different from a regular Evo.

Danny Love's personal Stage 3 BBT tournament gun
A friend had been complaining that older, one of a kind custom guns from the old school masters aren't worth anything but mass produced Autocockers like Evolutions are going for insane prices and that hit home. So I bought an old custom Stage 3 Bad Boyz Toyz Autococker online and picked it up at the UWL. I thought I'd pick up an old BBT right feed Cocker that looked really cool - P-block, all polished black, wire detent with a twist lock bolt.

I took it and walked a couple hundred feet and Danny Love himself randomly asked to see it. I told him that I think it was one of his works from 20+ years ago at BBT. He looked at it for a second and said it wasn't just his work, it was one of his old personal tournament guns. Then he showed me half a dozen little things he remembered doing to the gun from the handmade bolt to the dot on the twist lock to the repurposed rock knob (because he couldn't do knurling) to the hand filed 3-way coupler. It really made my day to snag a piece of Aftershock history.

Back from the grave. Old Autococker used by Heavy D on Aftershock during their glory years in the late 90's. I saw this one in terrible shape and told the guy out of the blue if he ever sold, I was very interested. He came back at me like 6 months or a year later with a pretty high price, but I took it. I knew the potential.

Bud Orr helped me out with the rear block. A machinist friend checked it out for structural integrity. Renick and Danny Love helped me identify it. People on PbNation sold me used parts. BBT sold me new parts. Darryl Trent got me Heavy D's World 1998 Cup winning jersey. It's been a work in progress for months.

Shocktech Gen 3 SFL - used by pro team Fury.

Murdered out Shocktech Aftershock SFL.

New "Dye" Freeflow is outstanding!

My first paintball gun ever was a Phantom pump and I've always had a special place in my heart for pump guns. I moved to St Louis several years ago where Total Greif has been dominating the pump scene for something like 30 years. Having local people to play with and against got me back into pump.

Navarone Sniper 3

Empire Sniper with Inception Ripper body and Inception frame - this is a great go-to recball gun now that pump tournaments aren't really a thing anymore.

1997 Autococker converted into a Sniper pump - I won this Autococker back in 1997 in the woods with DV8, my last Amateur team, before I turned Pro the following year with Farside.

Empire Sniper

Empire Trracer

Worr Games Commando

Worr Games Sniper I

SplatMaster - This one is a side cocking Splatmaster. It can still cock from the back too.

This second Splatmaster has never been shot and was signed by Bob Gurnsey (the man who started paintball)

Here are a few of the electronic paintball guns I own. They have no soul, but they are waaay easier to shoot people with than a mech gun.

Planet Eclipse CSR - This is the gun I use by far the most. The hopper changes sometimes, but the gun and tank get used most weekends.

Axe 2.0

This is Chris Lasoya's personal original signature series prototype Intimidator. You can tell the difference by the back angled cuts. This gun is literally sharp and you can easily see why they changed it for production.

Chris played with this gun when he was on Miami Effect in the original NXL.

Lasoya Intimidator - I owned one in this color for years as we racked up the tournament wins on Evil Factory

Ironman Intimidator

Shocktech Intimidator - I always wanted one of these but Shocktech was our mortal enemy so I didn't get it until 15 years later.

Olive Splashed Vanquish - prototype

Prototype Axe One of the first Axes ever made and still works like a champ.

Team Strange Impulse

Shocktech Shocker

Dragon Timmy - originally built for Art from Rage

Empire DFender custom cerakote by Jeremy Downs at Downrange Designs.

Shocktech Gen 3 SFL

These are some older guns I haven't owned for a while:

Milled up EFT Evil Factory Pimp - 1 of 10 or so

Milled up EFT Evil Factory NXT Shocker - 1 of 1

Milled up EFT Evil Factory Minion - 1 of 1

Milled up red GZ Intimidator - used on ESPN

Olive and black milled up 2k5 Intimidator

Yellow to black fade milled up GZ Intimidator with dualies

Eclipse "Stripe" Autococker

Right feed splashed Evolution

My black Evolution X

Inception Designs Kryptonite Autococker with Eclipse frame

Chino's old Team Rage Evolution Autococker. When Art, the owner of Rage wanted it back, I sent it to him. When I got it, it was a hot mess and clearly neglected with all the wrong parts on it. I restored it but it was time to go home when Art got interested in paintball again.
