Forehead shots

Anyone got a good recommendation on headgear to prevent forehead welts? I am looking for a thicker headband as anytime I get shot in the forehead I end up with a horn

People like to laugh at the old guys who puts a visor on goggles, but this is one of the side effects - you get far fewer forehead welts.

Double up. Two headbands, headband and beanie, etc. Offset, one higher than the other. As Scout mention, visors help a lot.

Unfortunately, Full Clip seems to seems to be no more. They made the thickest, squishiest headbands by far.

I like the Exalt padded hats. As someone who still goes up too far and gets hit in the head at close range more often than I care to admit, it protects pretty well and doesn't feel weird or uncomfortable. I had the Armagillo dreads and I like them but I find they are hard to manage with a mask. They seem to get caught on my mask and make sliding it up and down harder. The Exalt hat makes it easy between games to lift the mask up and not have to readjust everything. Headbands just don't provide me with enough protection.

headband + visor here.

Certain older JT visors - from cheaper masks - work wonderfully jammed into the fins of an I4/I5.

JT Pro Flex with visor and an Exalt Bounce hat. Being a skinhead, a regular ball cap is not enough. I usually play front, so head shots are an issue.

There are a few more modern small companies on Facebook making headbands primarily. They are definitely great quality and customizable, wraps or just headbands. I try to source these small guys before getting another Made in China just because.
