Geo 4 is so tough to beat. Itís a great all around marker. If you get a good amp or get your amp running good, itís a sweet shooter. I have both markers. If my Amp was trouble free I would use it way more then my Geo 4. Amp owners have been raving about them a lot recently, and reliability and paint handling issues in the beginning seem to have been taken care of.

I had two amps. First one had problems till I had it fixed, then it shot amazing. I sold it to a teammate ( who loves it btw ). My second amp has been problematic but Iím trying to fix it on my own. Think Iíve got it figured out now.

My Geo has only had a few problems but it was easily taken care of.

Few modern spools are as tried and true as the Geo 4, which is functionally a CS1. They do everything well, have top shelf ergos and build quality, and are a piece of cake to disassemble/reassemble and maintain.

To me, this isn't even a comparison.

I got a Geo 4 this winter. It has been the one that Iíve wanted for awhile and going to be a forever marker (whatever that means &#129315. It is my primary marker. Outside of a few hiccups in the beginning it has been phenomenal. As pointed out the ergos are great and maintenance is a breeze.
That being said I own an XLS. Although not an AMP I still enjoy shooting it periodically. It is light, handles well and fun to shoot. My point is with todayís higher end markers you are splitting hairs. Until new features or tech comes down the pipeline you really canít go wrong. Some markers are easier to maintain over others and there is something to be said about that. In the end I feel it really boils down to what you really want because you probably wonít be happy until you have that.

I’d definitely recommend the Geo IV over the Shocker AMP. The Geo IV is smoother and quieter shooting than the Shocker AMP. The Geo IV also has the SFR which can be used to adjust the Bolt Speed, something not available on the Shocker AMP. With the problems that most people have had with the Shocker AMP breaking Paint I wouldn’t recommend one.

I cannot recommend the geo IV at the retail price. You will get identical performance from the CS1-CS1.5/CSR for less but it is as stated by all as a tried and true platform and I personally always will have an IV core marker in the Stable.

As for the AMP for the price they are going for now you can't beat them. Mine is starting to smooth out more and more every time I shoot it. teams are basically getting them for 750ish brand new then quickly selling them or extra for around the same price so deals to be had for all!

I haven’t heard of any problems with the Geo IV.

The Shocker AMP on the other hand has been known to break Paint due to the roll-back issue (too much space between the Detents and Bolt face). Also the first stage airflow hole is too large and causes the Bolt to accelerate too fast (which they band-aid fixed with a larger bumper O-Ring that causes drag in the Can and slows the Bolt down slightly).

I'm in the same situation as OP. Just can't seem to figure out what I want and I've been watching reviews and reading up for 3 months now. Geo4,CS2,AMP, X, and now TM40. By the time I decide , a new one will come out lol I'm just to picky

Good point Mr. Stealthy. I prefer both of those to any out of that list with the M3+ taking the top spot.

The M3+ (or M3s with + parts) has a ďpoppyĒ but super smooth shot quality thanks to the Recoil Cancellation Technology. The DSR is also smooth and very quiet.
