Clone 5 Infinity - Need help with changing front grip

I received today the complete grip set for the MacDev Clone 5 and I was able get all the pieces on except for the piece on the front/fore grip. First off, is it an actual regulator? I was looking at the exploded diagram trying to get a clue how to remove the entire thing. I removed the screw at the top of the regular/grip that is next to the frame screw but its still firmly in place. It looks like there's a hex screw inside the handle and I tried it with an allen key but it won't budge and I'm afraid to go any further.

Is the screw inside the handle what's preventing me from removing the grip? Does it maybe spin counter-clockwise and maybe I was going the wrong way?

I can post pics if it helps, I just figured you guys would know what I was talking about without em.

At the bottom, there is a cap. The allen screw inside of it might be tight, but it needs to be unscrewed to remove that cap. Once the cap comes off, you can slide the grip off.

First off, you're asking if it's a regulator? Of course it's not. The C5 (like all other MacDev spools) is single regulated. The HPR is in the bottom of the frame, hence the hole for the adjustment screw. Notice how there's no adjuster on the foregrip, nor does the diagram show that there are any regulator components in the foregrip.

Unscrew the bottom cap. Unscrew the main retention screw holding the foregrip to the body, as well as the secondary screw you already removed. Slide old grip off and new grip on. Take caution in ensuring the grip is properly indexed with the foregrip at the top and reinstall. Very easy.

Yeah I didn't think it was, but in a few places I'd seen it referred to as "front regulator" and even though when looking at the diagram it seemed like there wasn't anything to it I still wanted to be careful and ask.

Also the 2 small phillips head screws holding the plastic piece on the back side of the foregrip.

yeah they are necessary for removing the rubber, but not the actual fore grip from the frame.
