Impulse not shooting good. FIXED!!

did a full rebuild and lube on marker, reg, rammer, solenoid. awhile ago, was shooting great, this past weekend played with it and cant keep a full stream of paint. single shots ok but when I get on the trigger, blech, balls go about 2 feet and big drop. not the air tank, thinking solenoid going bad.
hope the vid works.

First things first, have you replaced the battery with a name brand, brand new battery? My impulse would display adequate battery life when in it was in fact too depleted to work well.

If it still persists, looks like a recharge issue. I would double check you didn't mess anything up when rebuilding the reg.

Sounds exactly what I had once with a NXT, was battery related

It could also be that the LPR is too “fine-tunes” for the weather that you are playing in. Open it up completely and shoot a few strings. If it works then you know that it was the air supply to the noid. If you choke it by running too low of a LPR pressure, you can shoot one/two/three balls, but not a string.

What lube are you using on the regs? Inspect the reg seat for damage when you take it apart.

There is no “one way” to set up a marker. Try it without the LPR turned in at all and then shoot a few strings and then incrimentally make adjustments to the LPR. Do this until the LPR doesn’t allow for a full cycle. From there you will back the LPR out until you are able to complete a full string. Maybe even back it out a little more to ensure that your not choking the air supply.

Update. just got to it and took it apart and cleaned and relube all moving areas. Only thing I found that was weird is the bolt got swollen. took off all 3 orings and it seemed to drag a lot in breach. so I sanded stock bolt down a little so it won't drag. replaced bolt orings , put it all back together and ran pod thru it with a good battery. little better but still dropping balls. so now I looking at high pressure side, maybe going to try another reg on it and see if it helps.

this one is weird. it is starving for air so it looks like reg side. not my air tank, that works fine, put it on my GTek and it was singing.

Is your reg seat in good condition? Swap the HPR out for another and see what happens.

**Second update** tried another reg on it and it is still the same. seems like it is the solenoid cause it's not putting out enough pressure to hit the rammer with enough force to open it. next is to open up me solenoid and see what's going on.

And you're sure the LPR is good to go? A faulty LPR could cause the issues that you are describing.

I'd be concerned that the LPR is not providing enough juice to the solenoid first. Can you crank up the LPR all the way to the point that you notice a difference? Also, dwell is at least 12ms?

Hmmm. another area I may look into now. Took it apart and relubed, 3 exhaust ports facing up, both springs look the same and same Hight, thought 1 was weaker then other in manual. but I could be wrong, going to dig into this further.
