How to fix your G4 "out of the box" issues.

I normally use techt sav lube..so far so good, thick but still slick..and the techt bolt engine works well..

I just got the G4 and have the same bolt stick problem. My question is how can I degas the G4 to remove the bolt and clean it if I can't fire it? Is it bad to remove the back cap if there is still air in the marker or is there another way to degas it?

i would say the best way would be to slowly unscrew the back cap while holding it up against a pillow or under a comforter.

Ive got a G4 that has bolt stick like a mofo is the only think I can guess. I keep having to air up the marker, zero out the reg (CP aftermarket) and slowly adjust the velocity to get it to work. I like the marker, but am about ready to sell it. I did order the techt bolt, and I was wondering if that would fix the bolt stick issues. Any ideas?

did you just relube the bolt? or do the reg and noid?? I was having major bolt stick issues as well until i relubed the reg and noid with Tech T lube and now it fires great, no bolt stick at all. Theres a couple you tube vids that shows how to service the noid. Good luck!! great gun ones you get the bugs worked out!

its not even that big of a deal. Once the back cap is loose enough the pressure escapes before it has time to blow the backcap off.

Yeah I did all that, but just ended up swapping the bolt for the techt engine and saying screw it. That seems to work better now.

Im having a leaking issue, and it seems to be coming from inside the chamber, where the bolt is located, but i barely shot 200 rounds perfectly fine, so I dont see why it is messing up now ?
Help would be greatly appreciated.

When you say pull the trigger and keep pulling it, do you mean hold it down or like pull like shooting on semi, so it'd be pull let go pull let go pull?

i have a air leak problem with my g4 i bought from ansgear.com as well but it still shoots fine, but it leaks out of the back of the gun near the asa but when i turn the asa off it doesnt leak, it has done this since i took it out of the box. i tried relubing everything moving the asa back and the macro line is fine but i dont know what else to do. any ideas?

Got a G4 earlier this month... Well lets just say my Shocker NXT is going to have to get used to being the backup... The G4 is a dream. I was lucky to have no issues other then a leaky macro line (what macro line doesn't leak from time to time?) Took about one minuet to fix that... Now my friend who just bought a mini is having second thoughts!!!

I came across a weird leak that i can't get to fix. I am getting a leak from behind the velocity screw on the regulator. I have taken apart the reg and cleaned all the o-rings and put fresh lube on with no success. I have tried replacing all the internal o rings in the reg and still no success.

I work at a local PB shop, so i was able to test it with a new G4 reg and it worked no problems, so the issue has to be with the reg on the gun. Any ideas?

the lube that comes with the gun is too thick get baby oil and use that for lube on your bolt

I REALLY wish he would take that video down.

Don't use just straight baby oil. Buy a proper lube made for paintball guns (monkey poo, slick honey, techt gun sav, lurker lube, etc) and if you really think it's too thick, mix in a few drop of Gold Cup oil, or something similar.

Don't listen to "that guy" like he's god.
