Finger off the trigger when not playing, kids seem to forget that they are very sensitive

One of the nice things with some guns (my Gen1 Axe is solid for this) is that you can slide a finger BEHIND the trigger. Effectively blocks any accidental pulls. Not all guns have that ability, of course.

Having come up through the military, trigger and muzzle discipline are always in my mind. That said, I've had a couple bumps on a trigger that have resulted in a mess in barrel blockers over the years, and one very embarrassing (and painful) accidental discharge from an Autococker into my own finger. That was a good reminder to follow basic gun safety rules with anything that goes bang.
