If the Ironmen get far enough into the event, Sunday and more, will they accumulate enough points to clinch the season title? If Red Legion win Cup I don’t think they can, since RL took second in Vegas right? Or was it X-Factor that took second? Apologies for my crummy memory haha.

I’d like to see coverage of the mech games this event so we can also scope out the new space mechs in action, prototypes and all. Until the Adrenaline LuxeMech happens, the Shocker CC and CMech ( CS2 ) are battling it out for my top mech picks.

RL took 2nd and X-Factor took 8th. I'm sure someone can run the math for what needs to happen.

Wild Dogs look good out there, playing their game their way.

I think RL vs Damage would be an awesome finals. Hoping Damage pulls out the win overall, would be a great thing to see.

I was thinking the same thing. Heat doesn’t look good, so I’ll take dynasty, impact or X factor as possible finalist contenders as well. But Damage is looking ****ing STRONG! like 2011-2012 damage all over again. Good for them. If they make it, I’ll be pulling for them.

That new aftermath team is a disgrace to their franchise. They need to fold. Aftermath won an nppl event their first year pro. These guys are struggling to win a game, let alone a point. If the team from last year had stuck together, they’d atleast be a mid level boss right now.

It takes time to build. This isnt 2005 anymore where SoCal is dripping with 18 year old pro talent. It is much harder to find young kids who are pro ready. John already said he knows this team is 2-3 years away.

Day Two Summary:

Day Two of World Cup saw continued dominance come from Dynasty, Legion, Damage, and XFactor. A big suprise from the day came from AC Diesel, putting up a strong performance against their sister team, AC Dallas, in which they took a lead early and never gave it up. Revo also looked really good again with a mercy rule win against Thunder. That team looks really good when their breakshot is on. Impact and Ironmen also had a good Day 2 recovery and they both put up solid wins in brackets where every single point is going to matter.

TMG Outlaws, Aftermath, and MLKings are continuing to struggle this event and at this point are not even putting up quality games against their opponents. Speaking of struggling, NYX took another brutal beatdown after picking themselves to beat Dynasty prior to the match. Harris looked bad, drawing multiple penalties and generally dying early every single point, it may benefit them to get a few looks without him on the field. He then blamed the refs for his callous disregard for getting hit during games. NRG and DMG, although both likely knocked out of the event, had one of the better games of the day, which was a back and forth battle the entire game. Lackey for NRG looks really good, and is the best player on that team, just like Joe Barrett continues to be for DMG. That team is a few small mistakes away from being a legitimate contender, and a dominate win on Day 3 could earn them a chance to squeak into Sunday.

LVL continues to be really competitive in all of their games. Although they are 0-3, they have been playing well and are legitimately competitive, Politi looks really good for them and they really play as a team, and they will be scary next season. Another pleasant surprise has been the Wild Dogs, and the fans have loved them all weekend. They play and ultra aggressive style, their games have all been competitive, and for playing teams like Dynasty, and Legion, that is saying something. They gave Legion an early scare putting them down 2-0 early. They shoot well off break, and all 5 of the starters are insanely athletic, they just crumble until pressure, and RL took advantage of that making huge counterpunch moves down the D side.

By the way, Wild Dogs vs NYX should be a great game today, Harris has been talking trash that they are coming to beat down everyone today, even after an embarrassing performance all weekend. The Wild Dogs can really set the tone with a win against them, going 2-2 for the weekend in pro if they can.
