Good question for sure. I have owned all of the boots you are asking about.

Lashed & TM2 are both nice boots, but i personally don't like the fit of ThirtyTwo boots. I rode Rome Bodegas for a bit last season and liked them. But by far my favorite boots have been my Nike's. I rode Vapens for a bit (very soft) Zooms for a bit (comfy and mid flex) and i am riding Kaijus this season.

Edit: @Immort - do you have a local shop that carries all of the boots you are looking for? Head in there and try them all on

The shop by me only carries Burton.

I have to drive 2.5 hours to go to an REI or Zumiez.

I tried on all Nike and Thirtytwo boots last year and the Thirtytwo were definitely more comfortable.

The Rulers are extremely comfortable on my feet, I am just frustrated with the speed lace system and it not staying tight.

I ran into an issue multiple times last year in which the speedlace setup would come "undone" while I was riding. I always made sure they were in the teeth, however, it appears as though the teeth are wearing down and are no longer capable of holding the lines.

That being said, I am looking to stay away from the Burton boots, especially those with a speedlace system. I also want to steer clear of the BOA setups.

Board: Artifact Rocker
Bindings: Rome 390 SDS
Boot Size: Depends on brand/type, but around a size 10

I mainly ride groomers with a little bit of park, but would like to get more into the park scene.

Questions:
1. Should I be looking at more of a medium flex boot, or do you guys all ride soft?
2. I have been looking at the ThirtyTwo Lashed boots (soft flex), ThirtyTwo TM-Two (medium flex), Nike Zoom Force 1 (medium flex). Would any of these fit the bill? Are there others I should be looking at?

I have tried the ThirtyTwo brand and Nike brand boots on before and would just order multiple pairs to ensure I get the appropriate fitment.

Thanks in advance!
I rode the Artifact Rocker in the beginning of last season and the season before. Super noodle, but rode nice.

Speed lacing systems (other than Salomon's), are really ****ty, and never stay secure.

Boot choice is all about preference, since everyone's feet are completely different. Some people really like stiff boots, even though they ride only park. Other guys like medium/soft boots and ride all mountain. Also, keep in mind that the "softness rating" that each company gives is completely subjective to that company. For instance, Burton boots are notoriously softer than other companies, even though they have the same softness rating on a scale of 1 to 10.

The best thing you can do is go to your local Ski store and try on as many boots as possible. DO NOT just order boots off of the internet before trying them on. Boots are the most important part of your setup and even a half-size too big or too small can make or break your comfort and performance on the mountain.

I just purchased a pair of Nike Force's at the end of last season and I have not worn them yet on the mountain, but I am excited to try them out this coming season.

I don't know if you noticed my response above, but the only brand the local store sells is Burton. If I want to try anything else it's a 2.5+ hour drive.

I tried the lashed on and they fit fine. Same with the Nikes. I'm not opposed to ordering 5+ pairs of boots and returning the ones that don't fit.

Thanks for the input.

ive ridden the thirtytwo lashed for a few years now, i like softer flex and im a huge advocate of laces, im sure over the years ive posted numerous times why speed lacing is ****ed.

What it comes down to is what feels good on your feet, and what feels good on your feet while walking around for 5 minutes may not feel good after a few hours of riding. I suggest strapping into your bindings to see if you get weird pressure points with the combo. Another thing to remember is boots pack out, which can make a boot fit 1/2 size bigger after a few days on snow, and heel lift sucks.

Also unrelated, since full movies are dropping left and right, Think Thanks Brain Dead video is worth a buy, VGs The Last Ones is also ridiculous. Glad snow season is like a month away.

Heading out west for the first time this winter. Going to Aspen, Colorado with the Snowboard club at my college. Not sure which board to bring with me. I got a skate banana and a capita horrorscope. Any thoughts which would perform better out there? I'm used to riding hardpack/ice on the east coast. Im leaning towards horrorscope, more fun.

Horrorscope is fun for park and groomer sidehits but big mountain you'll probably want the banana (which im assuming is bigger) especially if they got some snow.

I would concur if you can only bring one of your boards. If you get a decent travel bag, you can fit multiple boards in it. I have the Rome Cache gearbag and it holds two boards, and all my gear just fine.

Only 1.5 days left of PTO and then honeymoon next year so it looks like nothing big in the works for me this year. Maybe when I'm 30.
