Hello pretty new to following the nxl and had a couple of questions. Do the teams have to qualify for worlds or do they all get to compete at worlds? Also how does relegation work in the nxl?

Not totally sure what you mean by “worlds” but I’m going to assume World Cup. Any team can sign up for World Cup in any division other then Pro. In the pro division the 20 teams are locked in for the season. The league has kicked around adding four teams from other NXL leagues for World Cup which would be invitation only. The NXL did announce then retract the Super Cup idea which the top 8 pro teams in the standing after World Cup would be invited to. This was cancelled however due to NXL Europe basically not having a season again this year. Relegation in the pro division is pretty simple. The last place teams gets relegated down to semi pro and the first place semi pro team moves up to pro. Last season there was no relegation due to there only being 2 events. In the past if a pro team folds then the team that was supposed to be relegated would be asked to stay along with adding the first place semi pro team. Hope this helps.

Yes thank you so much! Sorry should have clarified but yes meant the world cup thats happening in November. Wasnt sure if teams needed to qualify for that event or if all of the Pro Teams play in it.

Never heard about the Super Cup. Sounds awesome. Hopefully we get it sometime in the future.
