For those in the Midwest zone... Edge Paintball in Janesville is doing their Alamo game August 1. We've gone a couple times, and had a great time at each. $65 entry/air/raffle/case-o-paint.

And FWIW, I did NOT get that Saturday off I thought I'd get. Got sucked into going in, and then staying the whole day. I did get to rip the head off a co-worker who is so unreliable I felt the need to be there to cover his more than likely absence. He quit yesterday, and that brightened everyone's mood.

I had forgotten what Heat Exhaustion felt like. I reminded myself yesterday after something like 4 hours of paintball in 95 degree, high humidity weather. Got home and just hit the sofa and it was nearly an hour before I had enough energy to move upstairs and take a cold shower after which I took a 90 minute nap. No bueno.

Is that a game you think you'd be able to make? I'd have to check with the fam that we don't have something else that weekend, but I'd love to play the alamo game again.

My plans for the Siege Hyperball event went down the tube at the last second.

Pretty much what happens every time I play down here in FL. Also, why I usually take a break in the summer and wait for the cooler months to ramp back up to aore consistent playing schedule.

Heat injuries SUCK. Worst part about them is that you're then susceptible to them much more so going forward.

Alamo game is a serious likelihood. It's turning into a pretty busy month. Just had the Chicago Auto Show this past Sunday, AirVenture next week at some point, Alamo game August 1, night at the races August 6, and who knows what the hell else. Oh, perhaps as many as three Here Come The Mummies shows in August.

I've been playing quite a bit with my single trigger Ripper 2. It's been super fun. Matty's been rocking his Gen2 and Gen3 builds the last few months too. It's amazing how well the Gen3's have held up after like 18 years now. There are still some good bargains out there, but stimulus money absolutely jacked up the secondary market.

I'm hoping to get on the field with my Species this fall now that my 2K2 SciFi board is on the way.

Hmmm this VCOM I got has a pesky leak that I cant get to go away. It's in the back cap area. I tried the normal culprits like the 012 in the shutoff, the 011 on the back of the shaft, and 006s on the top nd bottom on the can, and 1x14m on the back cap and it still leaks. I don't have a 1x25mm or a 110. I'll have to order those to see if they help.

I was a "nope" for Sunday at Commando, now I'm on the "maybe" list. Last time I was ready to go play I woke up with such back problems, I did basically nothing all day.

Also had my first failure to extract at the range in damn near 30 years. AR left a case in the chamber.
