Whatever state you live in, whatever your round pref, whatever your hand size or carry method, theres a glock. Not a glock fanboy, I own Or have owned most of the ones youd mention in here. Enjoy customizing your things? Glocks got you covered. Xd is nice too, plenty of parts avail, and whoever said no 1911’s should sit down, its literally the single most successful combat sidearm in history. And with models now being made in 9mm, its more viable than ever.
When carrying you need to ask yourself what you want out of it. Method of carry, capacity, cartridge, all factors. Hk vp9, sig p320 (awsome trigger feel) are all solid choices. My current carry is a glock g43x, Everything i need and nothing i dont (big hands) and most importantly, it goes bang everytime i pull the trigger. Whatever you choose, the key is practice, and hundreds of rounds. Proprioception to reflex.
Now Just waiting on that laugo arms alien compact 🙂

hey now, my 1911 is (older springfield) is a tack driver. It's an old RO and it has the tightest frame/slide fit on a production gun i've ever owned. but for real, screw Springfield now lol

Ill put my kimber 1911 against anything else i own. Carry is more about the weight of carrying it all day. And the younger gen doesnt do enough pushups to shoot anything over a 9mm (Too busy flipping water bottles) and even then theyre looking for comps and tungsten guide rods lol.
Never liked springfield, xd is as good a clone as youll find, but it never felt right to me.

I actually have a bit of a soft spot for walther. Nice triggers, best ergos out, everything just feels good and tack driving to boot, just gotta get used to that paddle release. I honestly recommend them to alot of Left handed shooters. Another two i forgot to mention are the beretta apx and the shield, id trust my life with either one.

HK VP9

I use a Concealment Express IWB kydex holster. I am 6'4" and the SK just felt too small, like a toy on my hip, so now wife has a baller SK that I envy. The VP9 is 4 1/2 years old now, both charge supports I've managed to bust out, and there's even a little rust on the magazines from sweating on them for years. I ****ing love it though.
