That’s amazing looking Matty. I really do love the gen 4s and wish I could find one of the black to yellow infamous ones. Gen 3 prices are bananas and that’s putting it lightly. The Oakland assassins alias I was looking at was going for 650 or 860 with the team board. The bad part was I was actually considering it.

The lurker poppet for gen4s improves reliability and performance... I don't see any drawback. It's one of my favorite designs in all of paintball.

I've always wanted to try out a Gen 4. I haven't owned anything beyond Gen3s. But their shorter length and nice frame makes them look comfy

The gen 1/2 looked like spyders, correct?
Gen 5 was the Vice/protege
Gen 6 is the latest.
What's gen 3 and 4?

Alias is an example of a gen 3
Empire II is an example of a gen 4
I don’t think lurkers poppet was “finicky” and if anything, solved issues of the original poppet sent with those markers where the oring would blow off and cause you to dump air and have to disassemble to put it back on. If memory serves correct, I think people use to GLUE those orings on.
The only thing that might have come off as “finicky” from lurker was getting the eigenram dialed in since most thought you could simply swap in the ram when in most cases, you also needed to install the lightened poppet spring.

yeah gen4 popptes (brass) you had to be
super picky about orings, or under size em.
they were a pain untill you got it right,
Lurkers poppet I dont have oring blow offs. saves a ton of headache and work.

I remember Lopez and I doing something where we let the o-ringw just sit in dow 55 to swell them.
Also something about grease on some and none on another. Im sitting here about to torture myself off building another one.

I'll echo fallin and jono and say that lack of purging the poppet seemed to cause many of the headaches with the gen 4. I'd be tempted to try a PTFE oring on the poppet side, but I just ran a really 90 duro seal on mine and never had issues. I could get the ram to work reliably, so I never ran it.

The universe is telling me I cant' own a nice car. I hit a deer. Well, more like a deer ran into my car. Ripped the drivers mirror off, and dented up all the paneling.

On the plus side, in this warm weather, I'm getting 40 mpg out of it at 63 MPH.

Deer here are getting ridiculous as well. You will see just huge groups of them on the side of the road and I believe they literally pick a random car to just yeet their ***** in front of.

One of you wouldn’t happen to have red ccm eye cover screws would you? Need red to complete “the look” on the rage.

What are your reservations?
IIRC, the one I have was part of the first beta test batch and I’ve never had an issue with it.
The delrin poppets had purge issues, the brass ones could have the o-ring blow off if you lubed it. Keep that sucker dry and you should be fine.
The first iteration of rocket cap could easily be broken by over-tightening, the second was beefier and you pretty much had to be trying to break it. I never heard of the first version breaking during use, only reassembly.

I'm looking for some pants to play in. What's all the solid facebook pages for finding something like this?
I'm looking at these, anyone have experience? I need something durable but also breathable, and I'm not certain about the material. It's so hard without actually seeing them in person.
What about these? I've never actually owned a piece of DYE clothing, but they seems great.
Dakota, is it starting to warm up, in the frozen north?

I currently use Exalt T4 pants, and so far they are my favorites that I've owned. Good breathability, decent padding, drawstring size adjustment instead of little velcro tabs, zipper pockets. I've only played in them a couple times so I can't speak to durability yet. But every other exalt product I've had has held up to decent amounts of abuse.
However I've had social and dye paints in the past and they have their pros. The Social Grit pants have fantastic breathability and pretty decent padding. The Dye Ultralite pants are light weight and very breathable but offer zero padding. And at least on me the cut was a bit weird causing them to ride up regularly.

I’m using HK freeline v2s along with Wepnz pants and they are both holding up great and comfy as ****. The only complaint I have about the v2s is that at the bottom it hugs onto your leg/ankle and can cause heat buildup.

I'm not interested in HK anything.
Exalt pants don't look bad. I'll have to look into them more; would they get caught up in thick brush? Are they bulky? Are they vented well, or will I want to die in hot humid weather?
