I remember when they introduced ramping and teams like Dynasty, Ironmen, Aftershock, Infamous, TonTons, Russian Legion, etc. etc. folded because clicking micro switch triggers really fast was their ace in the hole. Today's top teams might have the most athleticism, experience, and technology in the history of paintball, however they will never face the true challenge of learning the SKILL of clicking a mouse click trigger fast.

Literally every player I know is able to shoot a semi-auto paintball gun faster than 10BPS. On top of that, it's not at all about making it fair for people who can't pull the trigger as fast as others. It's about making it fair for people who don't have cheater boards or bouncing triggers.

QFT. His comparison is way out in left field.

We had this happen to a GEO 3 at MSXL this past weekend. One of our guys brings me his gun during match 3 and sure enough its on uncapped semi.
I brought it to the eclipse tech and he quickly handled it, but still kind of concerning. It even had tournament lock on.

We've never seen or heard of this happening to a Geo3/LV board to date.

I thought it was strange, but he spun every point with that gun. Fortunately no penalty and it was handled quickly by the tech.

How do you get to utilize eportal with a Mac? Everything I see is all windows. Which is odd to me on Planet Eclipses website talking about eportal there’re using a picture of an iMac for a computer. I sure hope they start supporting the guys who use mac.

You can run E-Portal in a virtual machine on a Mac. I personally use VMWare Fusion but there are plenty of free options available.

Is VMWare an app or is it a program that needs me to side load windows on a Mac. I guess my question is can I access eportal through VMware without having to purchase windows?

Virtual image of Windows for free? Here you go: https://developer.microsoft.com/en-u...tual-machines/
VMWare is the virtualization application... just as a car needs an engine, VMWare needs an image to virtualize.
Haven't worked in this space in a while, but last I checked virtual box was a free virtualizer: https://www.virtualbox.org

Paintball News Rules |
- No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
- Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
- If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
- Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
If you have questions, please post them in the Talk to Mods/Admins forum.
