I got my bike stolen too Jordan, San Francisco can suck it.
Man what a ghost town this place is
How you been Pat?
SONNY!!! OMG it's been way way too long! How are you? How's the family? What's been happening with you?
Yeah sadly this place isn't frequented as much as it used to be mostly because of a rash of break in's, unsolicited buttsecks and overall tomfollery.
I'm sorry about your bike getting stolen like that, the feeling is just awful. Have you gotten a new one? I gotta dig out some pics of me on my bike(s), I'm riding 365 still and one day I intend to ride up Russian Hill neighborhood of San Fran. I love hills, not hippies but I LOVE HILLS. I seek them out, hopefully this covid thing knocks off all the bad drivers so I don't have to worry about getting run down (j/k on the covid thing wouldn't wish that on anyone nor bad things). Thing is I don't mind hippie chicks, i think its the bush thing, I still really like bush. Pat will tell you, i don't shut up about it, i walk around Toronto thinking about that lady's bush, what color it might be, the shape, or maybe its like a wild amazon (just so you know I haven't changed much at all from the old AOG days ).
It's been a wild year...work has been absolutely nuts, my family is going absolutely nuts, and quarantine has not been too fun. Working from home ain't too bad though, but I miss the bars and friends for sure. Where are you living now Pat? Are you still up in Spokane?
Yeah the dude went right into my garage and walked out of the apartment building with it, pretty bummed but I did end up getting another bike. Ha Jordan still the same jokester haha. Hope you've been well man.

We blizzard'ed the other day, but it's been mid-40's and sunny the last couple. Not even wearing a coat outside when I run out there.
I think you sent some of that to Florida.
Yesterday it was 39 in the AM with a high of 57.
Today its 45 with a high of 75.
I guess thats our 2 days of winter for this year....

Never forget... Paintball is a LUXURY sport. MacDev Prime XTS - Bob Long VIS - Bob Long Rage Alias - Empire Vanquish - Dye "Ultra-light" DM4
I saw that. Personally I've had nothing but good experiences with Brad. I haven't sent him work recently but this isn't the first time I've heard people having issues with him.
I can’t believe the customer waited a year, but I guess with the pandemic, he must have not been in a rush.
Hopefully he gets his marker back (and whomever else is owed), but with what has been said, I wouldn’t be surprised if ECA chooses to go down in flames. Sad all around.

'Sup guys? How you guys all doing? Cold here for March, but supposed to be warm in a few days. Got me thinking about paintball again so I bought one of those $240 hpa compressors off ebay. My tanks are way out of hydro, even past the 15 yr limit. But f'it, I'm feeling lucky Anyone play paintball last year?
Would you have a link to the compressor you bought? I'd like to have a more local solution than dragging my SCUBA an hour and a half to the dive shop, although I suspect something that cheap might not necessarily have the best build quality.
Gets good reviews. I've got some other projects to work on first but I can't wait to try mine. I remember back in the day, before this thing came along, compressors were something like $1500-2000. Wasn't there a couple of paintball solutions in the $500 range that took regular compressed air and ramped it up? I think I remember Boston paintball using one of them at a tourney I went to in '99 (I'm getting old). Can't remember the name tho.
Thanks for the links, I will definitely look into it. Looks pretty cool. If and when you get yours up and running, drop a message here or PM me and let me know how you like it.
There were a couple different compressor-boosters for paintball, but as you said, all quite a bit higher in price. The one I remember most distinctly is Tom Kaye's "shoebox" compressor, which used a 100 PSI shop compressor as an air source. Apparently the Chinese knockoffs killed off their market, according to this. Stack 'em high and sell 'em cheap, as they say. But if it works, it works.
Ahh yes, the shoebox. Wasn't attractive to me at least due to high cost and took a while to fill a tank. Didn't really like the idea of letting something like that run. Plus I'd need a scuba tank for quick fills if I wanted to play in the woods around me with friends. This compressor should fill tanks fast enough that I can just fill them directly.
Saw in the comments some good info. Remove drain plug for oil and put in breather, so it doesn't blow the crank case off. Change the oil after a quick break in because they find shavings in the oil. I might change it a couple of times. Supposedly this thing is a neat little solution, of decent quality from china. The pump in 5gallon bucket is definitely hacky, but not sure of a better solution without spending a bunch of money. Also I see in some videos to put in a better line dryer, best ones have desiccant.
Definitely looks like a promising piece of equipment for the money. I've got some other things happening right now, but I'm definitely going to put in some more time researching when I can. Proper moisture trapping is always the trick with paintball compressors, but it does seem doable. At $10 a fill, $10 in gas each trip, $20 a year for visual inspections, and $50 every 5 years for hydrotesting, it would pay for itself relatively quickly.
