Just like the title says, what is the best tank to run on a A1? I know they need low pressure and the tanks I currently have all are 800psi output. Any input on the best foot of new tanks would be awesome. Thanks in advance!

The tank self is more what suits you best, the regulator is where the issue is.

You need ~400-450psi output, I've always used a Ninja Pro V1 on mine (but a V2 should also be good), Dye DTS set to 400psi should work well too (which is what I will do for my wife's A1), Powerhouse regs also as I understand are great, just check that it does not catch on the lower back of the trigger frame

I was having good results with the Powerhouse Haymkr reg on my Rage A1. If you have the A1 on/off, it might not work well with ninja regs that have a ball-bearing valve.

Thanks for the input guys, a great help for sure. What about doing the mini reg mod? Would this allow me utilize a high pressure output?

Keep everything stock and use a tank reg set in the 500Psi range.

What kind of tank reg do you have and what other guns will you use with tank reg?

Pretty much all electronic guns that shoot at 300psi or lower (which covers almost everything out there) will run find on a 500Psi output tank.

A low or mid pressure output tank is ideal, but the mini-reg mod will work. If you've only got one tank and the reg output is not adjustable it's a good option. If the A1 is going to be your primary shooter, or you at least plan to keep it in the stable on a long-term basis, it'd be worthwhile to pick up an adjustable tank reg like the Ninja so that you can use the appropriate output pressure and still have the option of switching back to high pressure output if you have other guns that require it.
