Looks like it. I dunno if having the combination of regular holes and slots kinda defeats the point of the slots by themselves.

If I pick one up, I’ll let you know my thoughts. The barrel does look to have a metric crap ton of porting.

I like the looks of it aside from the knurled bit between the grip and window. Aside from that, the slots aren't really ideal, but are probably cheaper to machine than a ton of indexed holes... don't really know because that'd be a tiny slot. I'm actually kinda curious how those are made... I wonder if they laser cut it or something?

I wouldn't be surprised if they weren't lasering all the ports. Those things are getting stupid accurate these days. We're using a laser on steel tubing at work and it's giving us holes accurate enough that we can run a tap in them without a secondary drilling operation.

Interesting that the inserts are in increments of .002". I remember hearing backs and inserts had a greater tolerance than that.

Using that small of increments in a waste, from one ball to another is probably more then .002. Most barrel markers are using bigger increments around .005.

Over the years I've collected Dye backs in .684, .686, .688, .690, .692 and one other one that was bored out to like .696. Only two of those backs are worth using anymore but it's still kind of fun to have them around.
