Hey Imped,
Can you help me understand why a mech trigger is possible for the Gama Core and not an IV core? I know they function very different, but is it simply the airflow and the spool needed to move the air between the different paths?

Ooooh I like
What's the cs2 equivalent of drilled for eyes? Hitting the board with a hammer and throwing it out? Cause I'm gonna do that. Lol

The Geo4 for me, but honestly PBE is still young ... maybe there is more to drop from Dye or DLX?

Geo 4 is cool as well. I am not as much of a die hard IV Core fan as some of you guys, but I can definitely see the following and how that's a good release. Same for the LV. I have actually been wanting another LV for a while but the questionable solenoid situation made me hesitant.
I still think these frames are going to outsell everything else they released.

oooo i think i can answer this one, so the gamma core is "dwell independent" meaning that the firing cycle takes the same amount of time regardless of the dwell setting
that's why it can be a mech, when a gun has a different FPS at a dwell of 15ms than it does for 10ms and then you introduce a mechanical valve that dwell can vary based on a handful of factors, (grease, wear, trigger pressure, how long its held open for, etc..) you wont be able to regulate your velocity
gamma core doesn't care, i don't think the IV core was ever fully dwell independent

Any more information on the LV frame? Seems like the thing I'm most interested in is the thing I'm seeing the least info about.

Jack Wood had this to say, "We love the Mech revival and the M170R and the EMEK100 are great shooters in their different price ranges. But there are always some players that just want the very best. The ultimate expression of style and technology. Our current range topper is the CS2, and the GP Core, like the standard Gamma Core in the Emek and M170R, makes a perfect mech shooter. But just like we took the Gamma Core and turbo charged it for the CS2 we have completely re-worked the mech frame for the CS2. There is a completely new 3-way valve with integrated QEV. Then there is the mech trigger version of the Lever Valve in the LV line. Except we added loads of roller bearings, ramps, and adjustable cams to create what is possibly the most customizable mech trigger in paintball. It's definitely a bit special."

There is no LV frame.
They are saying they used an LV style lever valve in the mech CS2 frame.

That's what I was referring to. Really got my hopes up there would be a mech trigger version for the LV line.

There is no LV frame. A mechanical LV wouldn't work nearly as well as you'd like it to since you'd lose all or most dwell control.
To explain - the mechanical actuator valve (in place of the solenoid) used in the CS2 mech frame applies the "LV1 lever valve concept" to it. While I haven't seen a detailed breakdown of this yet, I'm guessing there's a lever somewhere between the trigger and valve to allow a shorter/lighter pull, thanks to a mechanical advantage offered by the lever. Or perhaps I'm wrong, we'll wait for an explanation.
