maybe so, but stuffing a electronic board in a mechanical frame, and trying to pass it as such is definately NOT a grey area

lol

Some people forget that there are entire companies that were created by the demand for cheats. Cheating is Virtually inevitable.

That and the audible beep (although that is probably configurable).

Somedays I do miss the nostalgia of a Predator board alias intimidator on breakout mode

Huge risk imo. Lets not forget how easy it would be to hear the difference in ramping bps verses single finger mechanical trigger pulls. That would get spotted quickly.

I think you could hide it pretty easily. Like set the kick in at like 9 bps and have the sustain at 10bps with a 5ms ramp reset. Then off the break you can really get on it and cap the gun at like 13, but during the normal game it would be essentially semi as long as you didnt really get on it.

That really isn't a risk at all. Most teams have multiple guns.

The proper penalty would be the PLAYER gets kicked out of the event and the team plays down 1 man.

If the leagues had any balls and made the penalties draconian, cheater boards would have never been an issue.

Thatís true. And agreed. Player being banned would actually be appropriate, imo. I havenít attended one of the new big mech tournaments yet, on the east coast, so donít know much about how theyíre ran or how strict they are. This era of paintball seems really organized and on top of things compared to 10 years ago. NXL at least, I donít get the sense that the players are cheating with their guns, but of course I do see them pushing the limits with hits and stuff like that.

I'd say it's in the ballpark with the Amp and 170R. MSRP on the Amp is $900 and the 170R is right in the middle.

They look cool but at that price point I think I'd go with a used m3s (650ish) or m3+ (900). Only really draw seems to be the mech frame coming out first.

I'm curious as to what the weight difference is and some folks I've talked to said the dsr has a "smoother" shot.

Its ok to listen what other has to say but..Even in theory you can learn that is impossible that the older dsr shoots smoother than the newer dsr+.

.......Not sure what you are saying here, but an older dsr can be smoother then a new one. Just because something is newer doesn't make it smoother.

Yeah I haven’t received my DSR+ yet so I can’t compare but you can make the old DSR super smooth by making it only have one forward Airflow Hole. However, the same thing should work with the new DSR+ too.

Sorry for my poor english
My point is that the original dsr compared to the newer dsr+ no way is softer/smother shooting..
If you put flex parts in to the dsr .. thats another question

Thats pretty much correct. The difference is you can swap the feel without changing parts. It also feels a lot better in the hands IMO.

What's the general consensus on the DSR+? Reliable? Worth it? Not really?
