Of course we couldn't just do re-runs of those platforms. Things have moved on, plus we had some rather major technical challenges with both of those products that we wanted to address if we were ever to bring them back. So both Ego and Geo platforms are back with a slight twist on each to just bring them up to date and keep them relevant and useable even at the very highest levels.


As for the Ego…. OK, let's get this out of the way. This is NOT an LV2. As of right now, we can't see a way to produce the LV2 that we feel people really want. There have been thousands of "just remove the AT Pipe" posts on the internet. Duh, if it was that easy I'd have done it. The reality is that making the LV hoseless and bring it up to CS1 or CS2 spec would require new solenoids, new grips, new foregrip, new battery housing, new regulator, new LPR, new electronics. All of those things require massive capital outlay to get to production, and as much as people think there is this huge market out there for an LV2, our figures just don't show it as an economically viable product at this time. Maybe one day. But not right now. So that brings us to where we are now with the LV1.6 It's a re-styled LV1.6 but we have spent a long time and pile of cash getting a completely new solenoid and manifold assembly designed and built to our exact specification by SMC Japan. This is the first factory built SMC solenoid valve to include the solenoid flow controls that make the LV so special. It's been a long drag, but we got there in the end and the results are amazing. The solenoid is fully user serviceable for the first time on an LV, and the performance is out of this world, both in terms of reliability, rate of fire, smoothness and battery life. Again, really really happy with what we have achieved, but yes, it still has an AT pipe. Sorry."

I wouldn't rule out it being completely hoseless. IIRC, the original lV1 had a fake macroline, and I think the CS1 had a similar setup for testing.

I’m not sure there’s really enough of a market for stacked poppets these days to justify two product lines. Typically Planet lead by doing the high end version first then the cheap one, that’s what happened with the Ego/ETEK. Although that model went crazy when they did mid, low then high with the GTEK, ETHA2, CS2.

I’ve just noticed, on the pics of the spool valve marker. That’s a CS1 front grip, not a CS2. This is spicy. I wonder if they are using it to test the LV2 lower separately, as they’ve got some stuff to work out with the air paths.

I would love a lv2 and would throw money at it faster than anything. The potential for a cs3 is amazing and knew with the pro releasing we would eventually get this (didn’t think this soon though).
