Pump marker maintenance

I was just curious as to what the community here does for maintenance on their pump markers. Couldnt seem to find any youtube videos or too many threads going into detail about it. Primarily curious about snipers, but would love to hear about maintaining phantoms too.

What kind of maintenance are you talking about? Is your pump working properly? If it is then a few drops of oil in the asa before airing it is good enough.

Guys, please be nice to Canadians. They can't tell time because they believe in celsius.

I sometimes notice the pump stroke gets less smooth/has noticeable stick, so I'll oil the pump arm from time to time. Was just curious if there was other things to check, I'm used to cleaning and lubing speedball markers after a day of play.

You should never put any oil in the pump arm it just attracts dirt.

What would you recommend doing if your pump stroke starts to stick or is more difficult to pump/return? It did this before I started oiling it.

Probably just dirt build-up. I just keep mine clean and free from debris. Never had pump sticking from just normal play. I never had that issue unless my marker is covered in paint or been crawling in mud.

Rebuild the reg once you start to notice inconsistencies over chrono. For me that’s like once every two years. Lol
