Xls bolt speed

I saw in a video that the bolt speed adjuster is a little different on the xls so you can’t throw the system out of wack. So with that in mind is the process for adjusting the bolt speed the same on the xls as it is on the rsx. By that I mean do I thread it all the way out till it stops before I start adjusting?

Nevermind found the manual online. You can indeed go all the way in and it won’t effect the way the gun shoots. That’s a really nice feature! After tuning my xls it is much softer on paint than my rsx was. My rsx handles paint well. This is super gentle on paint

Is it like the SFR on a CS1? Where you could turn it to the "3 o'clock position" and leave it? If you turn it all the way in, do you have to increase the dwell

I turned it all the way in just to see what would happen. Gun still shot consistent 285 over the chrono.

Why would you want to adjust bolt speed?

Do you notice any velocity issues/inconsistencies with the QEV adjusted all the way in for the most brittle paint? I'm assuming you've also had to adjust dwell?

Put a lot of paint through XLS's as our Team guns for the last couple of seasons. Found the best setting for bolt speed is a 3/4 of a turn open from fully closed. Best for soft shot v consistency. With good paint barrel match they are super consistent at the chrony
