Icon X won't recock on Compressed Air

My step son has an Icon X, we usually used compressed air on all our guns, because 1. its better for the marker, 2. marker is more consistant 3. not affect by outside temperature and 4. when playing in the woods it's easier to refill the tanks using a scuba, instead of carring numerous CO2 tanks.

The problem I'm having is that the marker won't recock when using a high pressure HPA tank, (tank psi is between 2000 and 3000), I have cleaned and lubed the marker with Extreme Rage Marker Oil. The funny thing is the marker works just fine on CO2, with only the occassional recocking problem in cold weather... I've have three HPA tanks and none will work on this marker. I've used these tanks on numerous over markers (Custom 98, MR1, MR2, Ion, SP8) Does anyone have any clue as to why this is happening?

Try screwing it into the ASA, and then unscrewing it half a turn. The top most potion of air tanks have a different build then Co2 tanks, the lip might be pressing against the inside of the ASA, starving the marker of air. High pressure or not; if It cant get there in enough volume fast enough it cant do its thing, and neither can you.

A LP tank would make it worse on a gun like this meant for a CO2 tank

Those guns arent meant for heavy use. Or really any use at all, to be quite frank the just get a better gun. Any money spent trying to fix the problem is a waste. But hey, thats just my 2 cents!
