Should add headers for Latin Saints and NO Hurricanes. They might have moves too.

I like this move. He will probably get more than 2 spins and have a chance to make an 'impact'.

Selling their pro spot. They do the whole "merge teams", cut everyone from outlaws, and then change the name. The league cant stop it.

Correct. They have to pay I think its a $5k name change fee (at least I believe that is what REVO said the NXL wanted when they tried to change their name to 187 Crew).

Payton also left(but for the Navy).

Can't really say I'm surprised when they brought in someone who can't even play D2 to coach their squad (not sure what they were thinking here tbh its like they were more focused on their social media posts regarding the coach than how they would actually perform)

Seriously. Kind of sad to see they went from finally turning the page in Vegas 2020 to probably a bottom feeder of the pro ranks.

Don't make her the scapegoat. Ironmen (Dave) has had issues keeping players and coaches WAY before she became the coach.

are you really trying to compare someone who spent 4 years in various assistant coaching roles in the NFL and played college football and had an uncle in the college football hall of fame and had who coached football(before he ever got his first head coach role) to someone who was a pod filler and played the equivalent to JV high school sports?

lmfao. maybe you should give coaching the Ironmen a shot, probably would do just as good.

She has been part of the team for a long time. At 2017 WC while Todd was still coaching them, I watched her and her coaching counterpart try to reserve the two best VIP seats on the 50 for 4+ hours by just leaving their backpacks there first thing in the morning.

After a few games, we moved the stuff to the side because you just can't do that when we all bought the same VIP ticket which they probably didn't pay for. The only father/daughter couple there sat in the seats for hours then this lady came back and made a dramatic scene to get the seats back, telling everyone how important she was as Ironmen "staff", so the father told her to go pound sand with everyone else's support. She continued making a scene until the father got tired of arguing with his daughter next to him and moved. We all let the almighty Ironmen staff know our opinion. Best part is that the father she kicked out of the seat was wearing a Dye hat which clearly meant nothing to her.

The only young girl sitting in VIP at World Cup gets kicked out of her seat after the (adult) future first female pro coach throws a fit in front of a packed house - only in paintball

I posted this on Ironmen's instagram immediately afterwards and they quickly deleted it so I enjoy sharing the story randomly. They can prop her up all they want on social media but seeing a poor Ironmen performance with her at the helm makes me laugh and think karma has something to do with it. Alex Fraige was ridiculously nice both times I've bumped into him and paintball seems to be treating him pretty well!

You sound offended or something lol. I'm just saying you don't have to be good at a sport to understand how to play it/and or teach it.

While I agree with you somewhat, its important to also look at results. The Ironmen "locker room" has been lost as can be seen by the current migration of players from their programs to other teams in rapid succession.

Maybe just goes to show that the elite coaches (SK, Ryan, Travis, Todd, Mike, etc.) out there truly are on another level of understanding when it comes to success in the pro division.

I wasn't trying to argue that other coaches weren't much better. The original poster just stated that they couldn't coach because they couldn't play at a certain level. I was just arguing that not being able to play at a high level doesn't mean you can't coach at a high level.

LA Ironmen is bleeding. They will have a hard time attracting players without bringing on a legend.

Bring Oliver back to LA Ironmen as part of coaching staff? Matty Marshall? Heck, Bob Long. That would be a huge irony.

Its gotta be someone with a halo effect to attract players.

Other option is poach 3-4 core group of players from a lower rank team and give them a full ride.

Options are slim, not looking great. Hate to see them struggle in the bottom and fold like Aftershock in the future.

I don't see Bob coming back to coach Dave's Ironmen. I am pretty sure that bridge has been blown up and burned down.
Matty is an option but after the guy gets done talking there will never be time for practice. That guy likes to talk.

Southern California is the Mecca of paintball. If they can't keep a roster in that area, with their resources, then it is 100% on management.

Dave has been doing this for decades. He could be getting burnt out. He could be focusing all his energy on his military contracts. He may have watched the numbers over the years and determined that paying a high dollar team of the top players has no real ROI. Dave has really deep pockets. If he wanted to field a team of top talent, he has the resources to do so.
