Looking for knee pad recc

I am shopping knee pads and some have a ton of pad and look like they are meant to be worn under some over the pants. What are your favorite knee pads, or what is your experience with a certain brand or style? Do you wear them over the pants? I am trying to avoid buying bulky or awkward knee pads and any info is appreciated. Thanks.

Exalt pads. Period. Worn under the pants, but best pads I have had in 32 years of playing.

I'm a big fan of the Search Results Planet Eclipse HD Core Knee Pads myself. I've had them for about two years and they are still in great overall condition.

G Form Pro X knee/shin guards. Worn under pants. The mesh back is good for breathability.

Currently using hk army crash knee pads, worn under pants.

Good padding and thicker than other knee pads for max protection.
Wouldn't say they are bulky or weigh / slow me down.

The field i usually play has many small stones laying around. Dont want to take a kneefall on one of them with too thin of a knee pad.

Choose the thickness of the padding you need according to the surface you mainly play on.

Try looking for Volleyball knee pads. They are pretty much the same as Paintball knee pads but not overpriced.

I just picked up some Mcdavid 6440s after a few recommendations. Really cheap on Amazon.

Try looking at the cycling knee pads, been using the Raceface knee and shin ones for a few years, obviously plenty of free movement allowed due to what they’re designed for, good support, stay in place and great protection, also, depending on the type you choose, easily removed as they wrap around your leg and fasten with Velcro
Highly recommended

Empire and Carbon both make a slider pant with integrated knee and hip pads. They are on the higher end of the price spectrum but I've liked both.

My two pennies as a REC player - read minimal knee slides -
- dominant knee - the one you default to for kneel shots - a big meaty pad. I use EMPIRE, also a fan of DYE
- other knee - a thin flexible pad. I use these diamond-foam volleyball ones which are fantastic. You'll destroy them with 5 knee slides but, perfect for run and gun.

I wear stretch gear - football style leggings - under both because kneepads are super rough on bare skin after 6hrs.

+ A cup because one perfect ball shot could be a life changer. Not your question, just sayin. I don't get why anyone that plays regularly doesn't protect the boys....

I'm using cycling knee pads.

Ion Bike K-Sleeve
super thin, with silicone applications on the inside, therefore they don't slip
