Don't know what state you live in but in Texas we have the castle law which gives us permission to shoot trespassers, if I was you I would make sure to shoot trespassers and make sure that they don't get up,

I'm sorry but Castle Law does NOT give anyone the "Right" to shoot anyone for trespassing. NOR does it allow one to execute a wounded /disabled trespasser to make sure he doesn't get up. That is murder.....
So I challenge you to educate yourself about Texas Law and join the gun debate at this link where I advocate for gun owners to have mandatory education classes so they don't illegally use deadly force by mistake.

For the rest of you that shouldn't believe a word this idiot says:
This is a local case here in Missouri where Castle Law was the guy's statement to the police after the shooting was for the defense for protecting his property. His attorney unsuccessfully tried to change that to "I was being threatened and afraid for my life while attempting to run off some trespassers with my gun."

STEELVILLE, Mo. -- A float trip on a river in eastern Missouri turned deadly when a property owner became angry after seeing a man urinating on a gravel bar, authorities said Monday.
James Crocker, 59, of Steelville, is charged with second-degree murder. He is jailed on a $650,000 cash-only bond.
Crocker, a property owner along the Meramec River, is accused in court records of confronting a group of people on their float trip Saturday and shooting Paul Dart Jr., a traveling companion of the man who was urinating, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported. Dart, 48, of Robertsville, was shot in the head.
"It's my property and I was going to protect it," Crocker told police, according to court records.

"Man gets 25 years in shooting death of Meramec River floater."
As far as executing a bugler in 'self defense'.

Under California law (Castle Law), homeowners have a right to protect themselves with deadly force inside their homes and in the immediate vicinity – such as a patio – if they feel they are in imminent danger of great bodily injury or death, said Lawrence Rosenthal, a former federal prosecutor who teaches law at Chapman University.
But this case enters a gray area because Greer, by his own account, chased the burglars and fired at them outside his home as they were fleeing, Rosenthal said.

The imminent threat to his life was over. While awaiting whether or not he is charged with murder, look at this one.

A verdict has been handed down in a controversial murder trial involving a Minnesota homeowner who fatally shot two teen intruders. Byron Smith, 65, was sentenced to life in prison for premeditated murder in the deaths of 17-year-old Nick Brady and 18-year-old Haile Kifer.

Just read the article, listen to the audio tape of a person murdering two people and see if you want to even travel through Texas where they think murder can be legal. Conceal and carry classes in Missouri state once the imminent threat is over. (bleeding bugler lying on the floor) You can't shoot them in the head and execute them aka "Make sure they don't get up.."
Oh, one more about shooting trespassers. You can't murder people knocking on your door in the middle of the night either and pretend they were breaking in..... Even in the middle of the night. Even in Detroit.
