They had (have?) quality issues, muffle your communication, breathing, and hearing compared with other Masks, also EVS have an Echo to them when you are trying to yell in them, and they are kinda expensive with expensive replacement parts like Lenses.

There are other Masks that are way better for the $$ but if you like the EVS and it fits you well then it’s your choice...


I personally prefer the Bunkerkings CMD and then the HK Army KLR.

It’s best to try Masks on to see if they fit your head well.

I’ve never had a harder time breathing or communicating than in evs. And you don’t notice the weight of the thing until you try on a vio/cmd, flex, i5, basically any other modern goggle system will breath better and be lighter. Then there’s the ears and foam. I could go on.

I5 all the way. The EVS looks cool and all, but it’s way heavier than any other mask, (as far as I know), and your voice sounds muffled in the EVS due to minimal vents.

Plus the I5 has one of the most comfortable and easy to adjust head straps in the goggle game.

But, pros and cons are mainly all opinions, you asked.

Evs is the mask that cursed us to wear chin straps due to Resar...And he didn't take a paintball to the eye it was the back of his marker that mashed into his face after the other players barrel dug in his mask(empire evs)plopping it off instantly then finishing the collision with the other player his marker came back on his face and he keeps up with the being a victim of a paintball to the eye ball or whatever "1/2 an inch from his eye" and almost a blind person b**** made garbage. Should've been a man about it and told the truth too but that's just the times were in I guess
