Great to see. Was going though my forums list yesterday and got to WARPIG...Was sad that they don't even have an archive of the forums, even though a lot was lost with the server crash. It never fully recovered after that.

Bill and Dawn are VERY deserving of this!

There are a lot of names that will be on this list one day, as this is only the 4th class to be inducted.

They aren't even a little. I could understand if you said GOG/DLX was the same as SP but GI is completely different.

You might be confused because GI has bought some old SP IP. That's why both sell versions of the Freak barrel system.

I had an opportunity to play on the same 10-man team as Dan Reeves and Jessica Sparks once. It was a great experience. The tournament with some weird rules and we had to have a couple people shooting pumps. Jessica and another guy who I normally played with (a former Force Recon Marine sniper) played with the pumps. I'm pretty sure the two of them shot more people than the rest of us combined that day.

Is Bob Long going to be inducted on this list?

I nominate Bob Long. He contributed a ton to the sport.

Bob Long is 100% going to be in the Hall of Fame. It is not even a question. It is only a matter of when. The board for the HOF is focusing on older players so we can hand people their awards and give them their moment of thanks. No one wants to have to award a HOF member posthumously. Sadly we already have had to do that.

You also can't just induct the many deserving people all at once.
I think the way this is setup is smart to preserve the integrity of the HOF.

I met Bill and Dawn once at a Great Western Series event - really good people who dedicated much of their time for many years to bring us some of the best coverage the sport has seen.

I think I played my first game of paintball around 93. Back when people thought AOL was the internet.

I think the last 5 years or so I played paintball I went to warpig everyday.

Man, that brings back memories from 1998. I still remember my screen name from that site. It was the first site I ever followed back then.

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
If you have questions, please post them in the Talk to Mods/Admins forum.
