Replaced the bang switch in mine with the hAir. Trigger pull is shorter and softer.

Don't really think it'll be any faster in terms of rate of fire but I like the shorter pull. (The hAir does vent air when you pull the trigger if that matters to anyone)

I'm happy with my purchase.

My hAir valve vented air when the trigger was pulled after initial installation but that went away after it was aired up/degassed a few times.

X2 (in my M170R)

I think the difference is mainly a much softer trigger pull.

Glad to hair everyone is digging the hAir.

To get the trigger pull as short as possible, we designed the fire point and reset point very close to each other. Due to this, some might have some "hissing" just prior to firing. This actually usually goes away after some use, as the Orings get fully seated in from initial assembly. Some do still slightly hiss tho, but this should not affect performance unless you love to hold the trigger perfectly still 0.005" before the firing point.

The hAir 45 does not require the extra post-travel to be reliable as the stock and Bang Switch do, since we use a QEV diaphragm (sourced from Planet Eclipse!) integrated into the valve body to create an instant firing event when tripped. However, we've found that usually to get an easier rhythm, you want some pre and post-travel. Your finger mileage will vary.

Should your valve "fart" when de-gassed? Is the best solution to hold the trigger when de-gassing?

What size are the orings in the valve for future rebuilds?

^Im not sure that it would do much for the mech CS2 Frame, that thing is super adjustable!

Interesting that it makes the pull lighter, I might have to get one now lol.

Does the Spool use the same Eclipse Orings/CS1 number 6 Spool seals?

Yes. "Deadlywind". Duh!
That is the QEV oscillating trying to account for the difference in pressure as the air drops from the degas. Totally normal.

No. The CS2 has had a lot of engineering put into it to make it what it is with all the adjust-ability, etc. And, It wouldn't physically fit.

The main 2x dynamic valve spool orings are normal #003 orings Buna-N 70A.
There is also a QEV diaphragm from Planet Eclipse (I believe used in the EGO 7, as well as others?).
And then some static orings being all metric 6x1mm.
The units with a small screw in the front use a metric 2x1mm oring under the screw head.

Is there a maintenance video or instructions for the DW hair 45 valve? Do we need to grease the internal orings?

Using the stock EMEK trigger (can't source a ID Fang yet), will the extra travel after the firing point harm the valve?

Can you use a springless trigger? Will there be enough pressure from the valve to reset the trigger?

Ah, $89 + shipping + taxes. https://www.deadlywind.com/hair-45-trigger-valve

Very torn on wether or not I pick one up. On one hand dropping $90 on an upgrade for a $220 marker seems a little over the top, but if it gets it a trigger on par with high end offerings, it's probably totes worth it.

Ugh! Damn you cool inventions. Killing my Corona budget =P

Better is subjective, but it is lighter. I find it was worth it. This is just shooting air with a muffler tip. When I get to play again...who knows.

Sure some $$, But after the POPS, 3d body, Inception trigger, SSC soft bolt...it didn't really matter. The $220 price went away a long time ago. The fact is this gun works, I don't have to fuss with it, and I really enjoy shooting it.

Yea, I'm with you. I've got one headed my way to try out. If nothing else I'll be curious to try it against my stock m170r.

No video yet.
No need to lube it for a while.. but feel free to pull the little brass pin out the front (careful it gets thin inside!) and add a little lube on it when doing gun lube maintenance.
We designed it to take full trigger travel w/o causing problems.
For sure try it without any springs! It will self-spring the trigger fully out (when gassed up) with about 2.5oz of force. When not gassed up, there with be zero trigger return force.
