Huzzah. One complete 100% reliable insight. Turns out the solenoid on one of them was FF.

Factory ****ed.

Well it was real intermittent, I doubt they would have noticed it unless they held onto it for a week or more. It worked the first day I received the marker, the next weekend it wouldn't. It worked for a few test shots with a different bolt kit in it. It worked when I got the bolt back from F1, but when I took it to the field the following day it didn't.

What helped me narrow it down was putting a bolt in it that I know worked without issue. I air'd it up the next day and it wouldn't cycle. Gassing and de-gassing it would produce some pretty ****ing hilarious chrono numbers -- e.g. shooting around 280 but after I de-gassed and re-gassed it wouldn't cycle at all.

So, I swapped solenoids and an inconsistent as **** 280 became a consistent as **** 330. I dicked around a bit with that solenoid before buying a new one, I think the coil is bad.

Well that's great that the mystery is finally solved.

Also, lets keep FF as Frickin Fricked - sounds better.

Interestingly, I considered spec'ing a MAC valve in one of my gun projects, but started looking into their reliability and it's really bad. The MAC bullet is really interesting from a packaging standpoint, but it can't be trusted. I found another solution that I like better.

Yeah, I'm not a fan MAC valves either.

I used to be impressed with their flow rate until I figured out that you can use just about any pilot you want with your own spool. All of my projects do that now... It's a no-compromise way of doing it as long as you have reliable manufacturing. It's a bit of a pain designing all the mounts and air routing, but I think it's well worth it.

I'm really excited for you guys to see the projects I'm working on.

Well, it'll be a little longer before I can do much as far as a public reveal. If things stay on track, I think it'll be pretty obvious who I'm with by the start of next year.

You there for the race this weekend? If so, DAMN...I don't say this often, but I'm Jelly!! F1 Monaco is one of the FEW things I'd fly across the pond to see.

Is there a quest group? I just found out that as long as there's interest, we can get (sorrynotsorry) andy to release a new run of 4B kits... maybe with an integrated gauged backcap/snatch pin....
think about it...

All of the above.... Honeymoon (first stop), cars and the race. I'll post plenty of pics when I return home.

Whelp, I decided to grab a crome 2. Now in my gun search I'm down to an assault 80, armson semi and maybe an ICE epic.
