NPPL Comeback?

Looks like the NPPL or someone pretending to be the NPPL created a new website yesterday.
The front page says, “National Professional Paintball League A New Beginning” and has a google maps link to Huntington Beach.
The team page says that Alfrado Amato is the CFO and Jillian Smith is the Digital Content Specialist.

paintball already costs SO much money. how do they intend on two competing national level series? Didn't the NPPL attempt a comeback in like 2016 and die out before they even started? I miss the days of old, but at this point thats all it is, and with the rising cost of, well.. everything, I'm not sure how anyone could even compute spending money on TWO national leagues.

you sure it isn't just the same website from 7-8 years ago? the main image is old and the last "official" instagram post was from 2013

If you look up the domain name it was only registered 2 days ago (9/8/21).
Also looks like they removed the team page so it’s been edited since my initial post. |

And added a generic store page selling wallets and sunglasses? If this is legit it's def someone without prior experience farting around in square space and it does not fill me with hope. |

Thats exactly why it could work. Limited paint format has worked very well in Europe. There is a direct correlation to paint usage increasing to play the popular format, and player growth decreasing. |

That store and team page are 100% default theme options on square space. Whoever is doing this is either just a necrohoster or some young kid thinking he is slick lol.
I mean they literally just have copy and pasted privacy policies and terms of service that seem to be obviously pulled from another site. Not sure what this is but if its step one, its not looking good

How will NXL respond to this. Uncapped semi? they're basically begging for us to return to tradition via cheater boards, etc etc. My question is will this just be a promotional event only to the pro teams or will they have a divisional system as well? Are they trying to make this a long standing league or is this just a one and done/maybe more event system kinda like how Astra are doing their limited paint events?

unlimted semi at 25bps+, nxl at 10.5 ramp, and astra at limited paint. this is to funny.
and this is why we cant get along because we cant come up with one pro format for all. next thing we'll see is penalty boxes again.
