Ultrasilk did perform really well, though I didn't test it against dow33 or the TechT uh... But it performed extremely well.
I'll stick to Dow33.

UltraSilk

This is Cesare Pizzo, former owner and operator of P&P Paintball and Team Detroit Fusion. Also known for my mechanical ability for building Supercockers, ColdFusion Cockers, and modifying many other markers in the Paintball Industry. I have been involved in paintball for 30 years. By request from many followers I have decided to make a comeback. A year and a half ago I began working on the SuperCocker 2020 and also decided to bring back UltraSilk. UltraSilk is the same formula I used back in the day when I was playing at a professional level.

When I worked on the development of UltraSilk I did not want to jeopardize my name on a product I could not stand behind. Engineered to have a lighter viscosity, UltraSilk lubricates and reduces friction. You will quickly notice smoother operation and increased consistency.

UltraSilk is a custom blended, penetrating marker treatment.

I apologize for not being able to respond to each and everyone of you, I am not tech savvy.

If you would like to participate in the UltraSilk challenge, message me directly and I can mail you a sample.

What do you have to lose?

Looking forward to hearing from you and what you think of UltraSilk.

This stuff works great. I’ve had the same jar for three years, I play around 20 times a year and deep clean my gun every time. My jar is still half full. Like the ad says, a little bit goes a looong way.

This lube has been great for me. I understand some people dont see a need to use anything considered an "upgrade" from stock. But there have always been modifications in paintball and simply put, will dow33 work. Yes... but, is it the best possible option in all scenarios? No its not. I have always leaned towards lighter lube with higher viscosity especially for better functionality in cold weather and using spool valve guns. This UltraSilk has been my replacement to older offerings and has been perfect for all applications, but has had longer life spans than other high viscosity lubricants ive used.

rubber to metal contact lubrication does not need anything special for our use case. This seems way over complicated for no real gain. Read the Dupont(DOW) data sheets, they will tell you how the lubricant will perform.

A food grade silicone lubricant like Dow 111 (NSF 51, NSF 61, FDA 21 CFR 175.300 compliant) will work fine and safer to handle than something like dow 33 or 55 which have lithium soaps and esters. Too thick? Thin it with mineral spirits. Cheap $15/5.3 oz. vs $30/5.3 of dow 33L or 33M

if the ultrasilk is really next gen lubrication then post the data sheet with the various ISO, DIN, ASTM, MIL, JIS standards that it passes. That would be empirical proof.

Great point Latches109

Most paintball lubes are a rebrand of some other tested lubricant with some coloration. Many times they hide that info to protect marked share.

Does this have a Teflon additive to it? Some products I have used such as Triflow and various greases with teflon additives certainly do continue to lubricate even when dry. Could be what the advertiser considers as “treating the metal.”

From my understanding "No Teflon" additive. But here is the dats safety sheet on it. http://supercocker2020.com/ultrasilk...S%20041019.pdf

The SDS still does't really tell anything new. Unless you're an industrial hygienist, it's a bunch of mumbo jumbo.

@Docfire I've really been enjoying watching the reg videos you've been posting. I spend my day job looking at data like that for Hydraulics so I appreciate somebody putting the detail into this you did.

Just a general question to no one in particular, but if this has been out for a few years now, why all of a sudden are we talking about it like it's brand new?

It's one of those things that went away and came back because the people involved are getting back into the game.

I’d like to see some testing done on a Spool Valve Bolt System instead of a Regulator.

You know for FSDO purposes.

To me that seems like it would be a better test?

I know what you’re talking about Mr. Stealthy!

Superlube has(d?) PTFE particles in it that would season your Bolt over time.

I don’t think this has anything like that in it though?

Paintball News Rules
  1. No Upping threads. If you have something to say, please do, but don't post in the thread just to take it to the top of the forum.
  2. Do not post "1st post", "1st", "First post" or anything similar (or with any other number) at any point in a thread, even if you post a comment too. It is really annoying and it will result in a ban.
  3. If you don't like something, say why instead of just calling it ugly, lame, gay or any other name. If it is old, simply post a link or report the post with a link to the older News thread.
  4. Please don't post links for places to buy items. That encourages stores, sponsored players and other people to do it and spam the site.
