WCPPL questions

As a longtime player, but only recently (re)interested in tournament play, can someone give me a rundown on what the WCPPL is like for the lower division teams, or just what it's like to play? (i.e. how much paint you can expect to buy, the level of competition for D5/4 teams, etc.) I appreciate the info, guys; the site is pretty sparse.

Competition will be similar to the nxl, so practice hard, even for lower divisions. Paint all depends on the team, but my team budgets for 40 cases per event. Most we have shot was 30 and we made the first round of knockout. Playing in the wcppl is awesome. Great staff, venues are always nice, well trained and solid reffing by refs that care, cash prizes, low entry fees, and everyone that comes to play is great to hang out with after games.

Thank you! I'm very interested in getting a team together and trying our luck, but the paint budget is what I'm most worried about. How much are cases typically?

35 to 45 a case, depending on what you get. Apx, hk, and Valken had a paint truck and then gi had a truck also at the last event.

Very cool. That's actually pretty cheap. I've got to pull together a team.

I have played a lot of Regional events. WCPPL was super well ran. We are going to play the entire series this coming season. super reasonable prices for entry. Easily the best deals on paint I've seen in a tournament.

As a d4 tournament player, I would strongly suggest to get a good sponsorship package for your team from either Empire, HKarmy, or GI Sportz. You can get some solid gear, like custom jerseys, and you get at a very cheap discount. They have different packages to fit your budget.

Level of play in all of the WCPPL Divisions is solid, and the lower divisions have a lot of teams which makes for all sorts of different kinds of play. The league does a great job making it affordable as possible. The more we support the better it gets.
