Gun maintenance seeing smoke or vapor coming from gun

So I just did the internal cleaning of my Stryker xr1 and it fires with deadeye accuracy. However after the 100th shot I noticed vapor or smoke coming out of it ? What does that mean ? I used silicone oil that I thought was lubricant. Have a cleaning kit that came with lube and oil now I think both might be oil . Is that the problem?

That's science in a real-world application. Its the expanding gas and has nothing to do with the cleaning and lubrication that you did. It especially happens if it's cold and/or humid outside.

Well is silicone oil lubricant? I was just wondering because I played in 30 degree weather the other day and no gas came out then it did that in 50 degree weather after I cleaned it.

That's just the cold air being shot out into a humid environment. Your gun is fine

What sort of lubricant did you use?
It may harm your seals, but I don't think it's anything I would worry about. I've been putting bicycle chain oil/teflon lubricant on bolt orings for years without an issue.
