Looks pretty awesome! I was pleasantly surprised to find this as a mid range offering! There are some pretty amazing features for the price imho! Very cool!

Not only that, they are way overpriced. XTS should be 999 and this gun 549. Nobody in their right mind is gonna buy macdev at PE pricing. The GT was their last reliable marker....other than the dreadful screens burning out.

I was considering this too, but like others side they’ve priced me out of wanting it. Not a fan of their anodizing either, it looks cheap.

They dont want to pay for more rights. Dangerous still owns the patent for the the clamping feedback and the "thumb wheel". Ever wonder why DP seems dead? Because every manufacturer uses their patent, so they dont need a new gun every year. Even now DLX uses their raps design and other manufacturers too.

yes its 100% true, go back 10 years and youll see lots about it.
but DP probably has royalties of like 0.25 cents per. so their take on feednecks isnt much.

I doubt its .25 of a dollar. May be 30 cents, lol

I'm curious if DP is still collecting royalties now that they've left the market.
I confirmed they did.

Wild. And even still, not bad for money for revenue that just sort of comes in, no production resources needed.

Macdev is one of those companies that makes cool stuff and I've heard all sorts of positive stuff second hand, but I'll never buy one.
I just don't ever see anyone use them or get a chance to use one. It's always been that way with them vs the rest of the market and I imagine it's only worse now with damn near everyone using PE, Dye or Luxe.

2nd smoothest gun I ever shot was a Macdev next to the 2012 Vanguard Demon. Smoother than the Luxe or Dye. Anyone that shot a Demon or owned will attest to my statement, bar none will come close to the smoothness of the the Demon. But also the worst gun to own! LoL

As someone who owned multiple Clone VX's circa 2011ish, I can attest that (at the time) it had one of the better shots among markers I had my hands on regularly. My only real gripe I've ever had with Macdev is that the triggers left A LOT to be desired. If they could work that out (or you can overlook it) it's a good marker.

A Violent trigger on that era of MD markers (Droid, Clone, CyRX) completely and utterly solves that. Still one of my favorite feeling triggers ever.
The Prime trigger/carrier design is outstanding and can be setup to feel excellent, and I'm a trigger snob. I expect the same design to be carried over to the XDR.

I really like the way the primes feel and shoot, but the gt drive is still the smoothest shooting engine I have shot. Hope the xdr does well. A new cyborg would be cool need more poppits on the market.

Had macdev continued with those cyborgs, they would have beat those egos. But their down fall was sub contracting those tadao boards that lead to burn outs. Because of that, they got that reputation for being unreliable

The sensor boards on the C6's didn't help that reputation either. That gun would have been so much better without sensors...

Fortunately, the sensors have zero bearing on functionality.

It had a major bearing on value though. That issue killed the resale market on those because it seeded a fear of deeper issues with the marker.

And more recently, we've seen the market start to shrug it off, as C6 values have rebounded pretty healthily.
