im still not sure if there is a packaging difference or noticeable lens difference or which online retailers 100% have the new lenses so its been pretty frustrating rebuilding my old flex's.
i did forget to look for a booth at NXL Philly i planned to buy a couple so thats my mistake there but yeah.

There is NO packaging difference OR lens difference. You have to read the number molded on the lens, between the main lens an the top center tab. I would only buy in person unless the seller send you a picture of the lens/number and they can verify the lens are for sure from the latest batch.

Ebay! Look for the old lens sticker style. The small round dot, not the oval dot. I have a box of old style lenses I picked up over the years.

The lenses are not quick change.
The new frame is quick change.
The new lenses are just better quality.

Is GI/JT selling Proflex replacement foam again?

The newer Proflex 2.0 as they call it is quite nice IMO, the lenses in that are quite a bit easier to change than in the old 90-00's era JT's. I notices this goggle system on ANS and passed for a classic flex. These would be cool if they were interchangeable with the old flex parts.

Yes. In the lense thread, Nick from GI talks about which lense numbers are legit.

Where can I get more info on this? Everyone seems to only be taking pre-orders.. The original foams were great but what improvements were made about these ones?

They are being field-tested.

Not that I need to change lenses. Proflexes are cheap.......I have two sets. SMoke for speedball, amber for bush. I just switch masks, not lenses haha. Plus it's nice to get the sweat off with a fresh mask sometimes.

The new Flex has a quick change system that takes any of the Flex spectra lenses. It's really simple.
