I purchased the roller bag and Gambler. I have had TERRIBLE luck with gear bags lasting more than a year so spending this much on a bag was a big deal for me.
Quick reviews -
Note, appears both products are made in China for those who care about that...
Gambler is great all around. To be clear, this is a tall backpack and really, just big all around. When it is completely expanded and loaded I suspect I'd get tired of it on my back. I feel like it can hold almost as much gear as the roller... Stitching quality looks like it will hold up and straps are padded pretty well. Compartments are pretty basic but get the job done. Laptop area is a little too big with no way to secure a smaller machine (think Surface or ultra book) from sliding around within the compartment. Would like to see some sort of spandex strap built in that could be used to better support for such devices.
I love that the bag is expandable though when it is expanded it becomes the size necessary to check instead of using as carry-on when flying. As such, the straps become a problem as there is no built in way to keep them from being loose and subsequently torn away from the mag due to mishandling by TSA/bag handlers etc...
I'd love to see a situation where the straps could be disconnected or otherwise zippered into place where they would not be flowing loosely from the bag. Also, I'd like to see the expansion material be of a thicker more durable type, I feel like it is a thin nylon type material that if used regularly may wear out over time.
As to the Roller Bag -
The bag is lighter than that which it is replacing (NXE Executive). The roller I received had a defect where stitching was missed in a small section on the top storage area which would have grown over time and eventually rendered the bag useless. Virtue is taking care of it and getting me a replacement on them. I Like the mask holder. I've found that placing the mask lens down makes it so you have to bend the ears of the mask in to fit but you can also fit in a loader within the emptiness of the mask to better utilize space. I feel like the pouch was designed to have the mask lens up though which I am not a fan of. There is nothing in the way of padding on the top side of the bag flap that closes over the area so it's a risk of having the plastic material rub against the lens in travel. I'd like to see the zipperd flap section covered in microfiber like the rest of the internals are in that section and be padded as well.
Main interior compartment is pretty basic with no real extra or specific compartments for anything. I'd say you still need your gun cases to protect your gat (or wrap in clothing).
One "feature" I don't care for is the back pack straps..or more specifically, the velcro on the bottom of the bag that covers them up. This velcro sticks to everything in my car, or carpet in the house etc. I can see it being a pain also when out on the field as it'd pick up rocks, dirt etc - eventually over time that stuff will be so full of crap it wont stick to the other side.
I would also like to see designated spots for gear. Aside from the mask pouch area, everything else is basically just open with little in the way of slits or pockets designed around specific items but rather more general storage. To me, this means you need to have specific cases for nearly everything (Lens, barrels, maybe loader etc)... I could see this being a positive for some and negative for others.
I love the placement of the handles around the bag. That was something I thought I'd have issue with but because of the overall size of the bag it works out well for me. I do not miss"flappy" side handles on this bag.
In the end, its a solid bag and assuming the replacement I get does not have the same flaw I suspect it should perform adequately for at least a couple years just great. The wheels seem solid and there is protection on the external edges where I have seen my other bags fail. Graphics are cool and zippers seem solid so expecting to like this.
For those that care about storage - I could fit the following in the roller:
XXXL Eclipse Pants
2 XXL Jerseys
Size 16 Original Swat 5" Boots
Vio Extend Mask
Sly lens case
2 Markers (1 in DM case, 1 in gat Wrap
About 10 pods total I think
5/8 Bunker Kings pack
Ball Hauler
Knee Pads(In ball hauler)
Elbow Pads(In ball hauler)
Misc tools and batteries (in pods)
M2 Large parts kit
Misc Oring plastic kit
Ninja 90SL tank
All that came in at ~46lbs IIRC. not bad.
Finally - biggest worry is on the last day of a scenario when packing up, trying to fit the same stuff in the same area while not wanting EVERYTHING to get dirty...we'll see how that works out at legends...
