Asa issues

I've been having issues where I would have the on/off in the off position, screw my tank on, flip it to on and air leaks out. I have to have the asa on before I screw my tank on to get it not to leak. And even then if I flip it off and back on, it leaks again. Anyone else have this problem?

Have you had your ASA apart? Is it leaking out of the lever area? First thing I would do is change the tank oring. That would be the easiest and cheapest repair. If not then you can check the asa pin orings pretty easy. Need a 1/2" socket and a 3/32 hex. Might just need to lube the pin orings.

So, also take a look at the pin on your tank. My tank when it was screwed in all the way would leak air its because the older tank regs have a different pin than the newer ones. How old is your tank?
