Most DSRs should have it. It was released in late 2018.

All it did is help smooth out the Ramping some/make it slightly easier to Ramp.

I'd love some updated firmware to ease the strain on the battery if at all possible. It seems like my DSR needs a new battery once a month.

Just how it is...

Mine does too.

Seems like I have to replace it every other week if I play with it a lot.

They’d need a Board or Solenoid that doesn’t use so much power.

You’d think that the DSR battery life would be good since it doesn’t have all of the features of the M2 & M3 like the Pressure Sensors and Colored OLED.

What kind of batteries are you guys using? Mine literally had the same lithium 9V in it for the entire 2019 season. I should sell these batteries as they're more industrial over the generic Walmart 9v's

Regular Duracell copper tops.

I noticed it in the cold mainly at Wayne’s World.

It was colder there and with shooting so much the Battery seemed to only last about 5 cases.

Its probably not as bad as I’m making it out, I usually change the Battery a case or two after the Battery Indicator drops to 3 of 5 Bars.

Are you only changing it based on the battery indicator or does it just stop shooting? I find it's hard to trust the battery indicators on paintball markers when it comes to 9vs at least

Yes, just based on the Battery indicator.

I’d rather change it too soon than have my Marker go down for low batteries lol.

I have used it down to 2 of 5 Bars and it still shot perfectly fine though.

I’m pretty sure that it was just the Cold affecting it at Wayne’s World that made it seem to drop faster than normal.

However, the Battery life is something that I’ve heard other DSR users complain about too.

How can us mere mortals obtain such god-like power?

Yeah I'd wait until 2 bars minimum before even considering changing it. You'll lose one bar almost instantly as it only reads full at 95-100% charge. 4 bars is only 94-70% and the third bar is the largest margin at 39% for 69-30%. The battery indicator for the DSR is really not the best as there is no 1bar. realistically it will always be 4,3, or 2.

The cold will definitely give a "false reading" on the battery indicator.

My DSR quickly drops to 3 bars but then seems to sit there for ages. Which makes sense with how batteries lose their top end charge relatively quickly.

If you keep swapping them so quick you should carry a voltmeter and record the batteries charge. This has been one of the better markers I've owned with battery life. So it's hard for me to believe that it dies so quick for other people unless they are basing it completely off of the indicator. Also there might be a small short somewhere causing an unnecessary drain, which you should probably test for just to be safe.

I’m not worried about it.

Like I said, I know I’m changing them early.

Anyone use the rechargable kit?

I got one in my mystery box from vintage paintball but I've yet to try it

I don't bother with rechargeables. Usually they are finicky depending on the marker. And you need to buy a specific type. Most I would use is rechargeables on a hopper. But I wouldn't trust them for the marker.
