Emek & Paintballs
Just asking,
What paintballs performs the best for you?
I know that mech markers can be harder on shells, just wanted to get the forums feedback.
Thanks for any reply!

I play at two fields which both use GI field paint. Last year I played at a field (which is now closed, sadly) and they were selling Valken Graffiti. I never had any issues.
The Emek, which uses the Gamma Core, handles brittle paint much better than your typical mechanical blowback gun (like a Tippmann A-5 for example).
PE and Super Stanchy Customs both sell a soft-faced bolt for the Gamma Core, which could help if you ever come across really brittle tournament paint and/or really cold weather. Mind you though, I've played in cold weather and never had any issues with the stock bolt and using middle-grade paint.

Thanks for the reply bud!
Last gun I has was an '07 Ego, which handled the Gold paint then.
Nice to know if I want to spend more $ on good paint this marker can handle it, without upgrading the bolt.
Any other inputs welcomed!

^Yup, EMEKs are great at Paint handling.
If you have issues you can use the ST3 Soft Tip Bolt that comes in the CS2.

Somewhat related: what paintballs are people here using in their magazines? I'm hoping to get a few Dye mags and use round-ball in them when my First strikes run out. Just curious what brand/grades I should be looking for.

Probably something with a thicker shell for Mag-fed like Valken New World or Graffiti.

The dye mags with planet eclipse springs are super soft on paint, probably the gentlest mags you can get.
