From what I can tell (I'm not a lawyer, but I am an engineer), this lawsuit is junk. The features the plaintiff is claiming as infringement are all too general; enough so that they basically encompass all tank regs.

Im just coming back into paintball, and when I skimmed through the filing that's exactly what I said over in the Air systems forum. Im not an expert on patent rights and litigation, but I would think it would get quashed. I would assume if it ever goes to trial, they would have to have a 3rd party expert testify, and I would think he could easily point all these things out. Really though I would think all this would get hammered out in discovery with affidavits and depositions. Again, not an expert on patent litigation.
I would buy one of their regs right this second if they had it on a 45CI or 68CI, not so sure I want the 80CI. I don't know anywhere I can just buy a bottle these days.

Seriously you find light blue and pink to be attractive colors for your parents 1500 dollar investment (your gun/marker)? Sell me your G6R (and Halo) upgrades/parts, because you wont get anything for them if you sell/trade them with the gun.

Ain’t none of my business but lawsuits in Paintball are so lame.
Just work out a decent licensing agreement. Even still you don’t see Planet Eclipse suing DLX for stealing the Gamma Core.
90% of this “technology” is just iterations of older designs and everyone still remembers the rat f*cking by Smart Parts. Be smart.

Take them apart side by side.
The quality and design of the PH takes a dump on the Ninja. Ninja isn't a *bad* reg but I've had issues with the setpoint being way out of spec. The PH is just a much nicer reg.

The powerhouse regs are objectively better, period. I bought one out of curiosity and it instantly replaced all of my Ninja regs. It's easier to service, easier to change pressure, has a more secure adjustable bonnet system, etc. I love the guys at Ninja as well and the products that they put out, but their current reg just isn't as good. FWIW I run an SL2 tank on a Gen1 Powerhouse currently so there is some wealth shared.  |

Agreed. I like Ninja and use Ninja bottles but both of my regs are Powerhouse v2 regs.
No desire to switch back. |
