Bought myself a new Rifle. Savage Axis II. It’s def not a Remington 700, but for the price, I couldn’t say no to another .308Win.

Ultimate home gun, is a 12ga, sawed off to 16.25”, with 000 blackout buck. Would blow a hole out an elephant’s *** without killing the neighbors.

Glad to hear you didn't get laid off opie.

Going on almost 2 years at the house.... And we still aren't homeowners!
Septic finally got installed back in juneish(I think, I can't remember ****), and everything passed inspections.
Few weeks after all that was finished... My great uncle passed away, which put a hold on the buying process as his will and everything was reviewed.
Now, we're waiting on the sale contract to be written by their attorney so my attorney can review it, we can sign it and finally get a mortgage...
Maybe if we're lucky we will own the house by the new year!

Opie, I know exactly what your arguments would be for .40S&W vs 9mm. LOL

It does not matter, really.

Like... you know, my experience was mostly AK line.
I would use 5.45 for EDC because weight and take a 7.62 with just one mag (multiply by 21 for 21 people) for the action.
I hate ricochet. I like the precision of 5.45, which does not matter.
I hate the feel of the 7.62 AK, it always feels like the gun is "broken" and "loose" and is better suited as a club, but it works. 🙂

I'm right there with you. I have 4 and basically wear 1 a day and wash them all on the 4th night, I thought I beat facial acne 7 years ago but this BS has brought it back.

I'm definitely over them. 8.5hrs of constant mask wearing blows.
Plus we have a guy who works overnight for us and reports everyone to HR if they have their mask below their nose, or take their mask off for a split second even if he's 100'+ away from them, even when the store is still closed...

Yeah, he's seriously a prick. One of my workers was in a trailer, stacking product all alone and took his mask off. Dick head happened to come in the trailer and freaked the **** out.
The guy wears 3 masks. A neoprene looking one on the outside over top a cotton one which is over a hospital style mask and 2 pairs of gloves...

So, last night I'm getting a phone call if I can buy a small jar or Herring in Wine Sauce at Key Food.
Half hour later after getting two people from deli department and two people* who "just work there" I am at cashier and dropping a bill on the table.
Mind you, nobody's wearing a mask and I am the only customer.
So, she smiles and tells me they can't sell it because of a store policy about masks.
I put a mask on, it's in my pocket. Lol

If you need a new mask, there are piles of them on the ground outside any grocery store.
Use soap to restore color from brown to blue.

Next story will be about getting soap.

Next round of Covid shutdowns in NYC, I'm right in the middle of one, 8%, lol.

Getting tested is like a habit now, last time was on Sep 24... kinda debated if I should go today.
The testing process is a damn mess, they keep moving from one location to another, sometimes you are the only one or there is a line of few hundred.
They also open and close as they wish.
Oh, and since they opened any testing facility to any walk-in, you can expect the results anytime from 6 hours to 6 days.

Pretty good here in CA where the Glass fire is. Just another day of detours due to closed roads from the fires and killing termites.

Out be me is starting to see a slight rise in vases again.
I had a scare the other day. Started feeling very fatigued and no appetite. Laid down for a nap and woke up freezing cold with a 100* fever. Instantly we started worrying it was covid.
Thankfully I fell back asleep and woke up a few hours later and the fever was gone and have felt fine since.

You can have it without symptoms or mild and give it to others without knowing.
